Review: Charging into 2023 with all the grace of a bull with a jetpack, Incurzion Audio continue to set their own unique and far out benchmarks in bass music. Unapologetically operating on the leftfield side drum & bass and dubstep, each of these 24 tracks lives in its own world and bubbles and grinds on its own terms. Every tune is a highlight but 140 heads will be melting all over cuts like Adzzy's sub-soaked woozer '12 Gauge', Wooflet's somnambulant bruiser 'Dusk' and Censored The Audio's breakbeat cruiser 'I Drew A Picture Of You'. D&B heads meanwhile will be fizzing over superlative cuts like Illament's emotional 'About You', Para's glitched out futurism fire 'G Check' and the soulful spacefunk of Elk's 'Consideration'. And that's a fraction of the heat happening here. Get to know!

Funk - (4:24) 175 BPM
Review: Bringing a whole new level to the term 'smashing it', Wrekka returns to Drum Lab for more tear-up treatments. Four cuts, four flavours; 'Blaze It' flexes an old ravey vocal around a contemporary drop with pure energy and vibrancy. It's backed up by the grizzling jitter jam 'Closer', the deep trumpet toots and jagged drop of 'Jazzy Ting' and the rubber ball bassline fun of the aptly named 'Funk'. Wrekka yourself before you check yourself.

Lets Get Started - (4:30) 175 BPM

Nihlist - (4:28) 175 BPM Biggest-selling track on this release
Review: Wrekka and roll... One of the most prolific D&Bsmiths over 2021 continues to demolish the year with this epic four-piece on Drum Lab. We kick off with 'Request' which is less of an enquiry and more of a fully-blown demand thanks to its hair-raising jumpy bass riff. It's backed by more wrekking balls: 'Be Like That' is a pneumatic thumper comprising a range of sub aquatic squelches and high pressure kicks, 'Let's Get Started' nods back to late 2000s jump up with its addictive riff and bulbous groove while 'Nihilist' finishes the EP with every bit of carnage its name suggests; decayed, demonic and heavily distorted. The only request here is to reload and come again.

Hold Me - (4:27) 175 BPM

Living Dead - (4:27) 175 BPM
Review: Following releases on Breeze and Dutty Bass, Wrekka returns to Eternal with 'Enemy', a grumbly slab of stepperism that's laced with a classic horror film arpeggio. More magic follows as 'Hocus Pocus' creeps up behind and casts spells with its minimal make-up and maximal tension. 'Hold Me' brings a little tension into the mix with its high freq synth line and ghostly vocal texture while 'Living Dead' finishes the EP with brazen bass bumps that drip like slime over the kicks. Keep this 'Enemy' close.

Bring It Back (Drowzee remix) - (5:07) 175 BPM Biggest-selling track on this release
Review: Hit the dekka! Here comes Wrekka... And once again he's living up to his name with a whole fistful of fire. Demolition business from the second that futuristic bass sweep hits you on 'Bring It Back'; highlights include the spacious venom of 'Brass Gaff' (with Niterider), the sultry sleaze from the balance of sweet vocal and grubby bass on 'God Complex', the weirded-up funk and twisted treats on 'Groove Symmetry' and the aptly titled 'Different' where the grizzly bassline is backed up by stuttering kicks and sick-but-sparing vocal sample. Complete with remix of 'Bring It Back' from Drowzee, it's another 10/10 from the windy Cardiff crew.

End Of The Line - (4:21) 175 BPM

Tada - (4:23) 175 BPM Biggest-selling track on this release

Killa Master - (4:28) 175 BPM
Review: Wrekka is a wicked producer who tends to put a snappier spin on the current KoTR-influenced sound, his passion for whiplash drum-lines giving his tunes a unique and recognisable edge. He's now on Dutty Bass with an EP that embodies that uniqueness and all three cuts are equally biting. 'Killa Master' is packed with foreboding vibes which conspire to give this tune a dangerous ambience, an atmosphere that's cut in two with a diving bassline and cutting drum lines. 'End of the Line' is equally wispy on the intro but far deeper on the drop, a subby back end rolling through the bottom end of the range with serious penetration. A thumping bit of work.

I Adore You - (4:17) 180 BPM
Review: Blooming hecka, here comes Wrekka! Following recent appearances on the likes of Invicta, Dutty Bass and Breakbeats & Basslines, here come four weighty wobblesome workouts on Eternal. 'System Of Failure' is a curmudgeonly stepper with a snarling bassline and plenty of tension, 'I Will Wait' takes a well-known vocal sample and twists it into a twisted stepper before 'Judas' goes full HAM with its depth plunge bassline and tightly coiled springy breaks. Last but definitely not least is 'I Adore You' which cleverly balances a highly grotty bassline with a big euphoric vocal. Big.

Review: Celebrating his recent upgrade to a full Kevlar exoskeleton, Wrekka is back with more tekkers. Make way for 'Bulletproof', a four-track slab of bassline bliss that flexes across the sonic board. From the late 90s wobbles and minimalism of the title track to the contemporary sound design and far-out nature of 'Taffy' via the grunt and thrust of 'One Finished' and the powerful slaps and bangs of 'Brains', something tells us we'll be shooting these weapons out for a long time to come. Pull it for the bullets!

Review: Oh gosh! Few labels are delivering the future like Invicta right now. Since launching the official label in October 2020, they've been a relentless source of tomorrow talent via huge VA collections like 'Alumni', 'The Excursion' and now 'Mercury', a seven-track set from a wide range of exciting rising new-gen names. Every track is a heater but exceptional highlights include the contrast of dark and light on Drowzee's 'Free Fall', the sultry echoes and rasping electrified riff of Stoyley & Substance's 'Pressure' and Harley D & Scotty's provocative wriggler 'Bad Bitch'. Bad to the bone. And there's plenty more en route... Another massive Invicta VA drops next week!

Review: How to checka yourself before you Wrekka yourself: ensure all windows and doors of your property are locked before you press play, when you drop tracks like the juggernaut thumper 'Dark Corridors', your neighbours are going to want to steal it from you. Make sure you have a clean change of clothes because the pressure and clarity of cuts like 'Under' and the Grimms-feature creeper 'Minimal Damage' will bother your bowels. Make sure you have good company; when deeper cuts like 'Eulogy' and 'Deeper Thoughts' hit you, you're gonna need some emotional support. Sealed with a loving 'XX', Wrekka checking hard right now.

Money - (4:23) 175 BPM
Review: Let's chat about mad things. Like when you put on a pair of jeans and find a tenner in the pocket. Or you meet the person of your dreams in the chicken shop. Or when Wrekka lays down gold like this. Four tracks, four flavours, four reasons to pray for raves to open again: 'Mad Tings' flexes on a creepy, dusty piano lick and some Rider-level bar craft. 'Big & Real' weaves up a dreamy storm of layers before dropping into a subtly grotty drop. 'Lockdown' captures the ennui of survival in 2020 with tense bell chimes and layers of bassline grumpiness while 'Money' closes the show with a sludgy, curmudgeonly bassline and sinister, creepy tones. Mad.

All Good - (4:28) 175 BPM
Review: If you can't pick up from his name that Wrekka loves to wreck dancefloors with grimey beats, then, well, he's going to make sure you know with this new EP on Dutty Bass Audio. It's a seven-track monster of a release and the scariness doesn't let up at any point throughout, as Wrekka lets loose with all barrels. 'Desert Skies' is especially sick, with a wonderfully heavy sub bass that flutters just as much as it wobbles, underpinning a whole arrangement of skipping drums and murderous synth touches. 'Arcadia' blends soulful sampling with diving sine waves, whilst Trojan is just relentlessly good. Bigups.

Badboy - (4:27) 175 BPM Biggest-selling track on this release
Review: Dutty Bass never fail to deliver and right here they've surpassed themselves with these two bumpy treats from new artist Wrekka. Two sides, two vibes, two chances to knock people sideways: "Addict" warms up with shimmering housey synths before dropping into a nice toxic sludgy roll-out while "Badboy" takes a classic Cutty Ranks vocal and smashes the nan out of it. Wrekka by name, wrecker by nature.
