Sitting somewhere in the dark corners between neuro, dancefloor, jump-up and jungle - with an exciting international rollcall of artists - the full VA reflects the label's wide-armed and no-nonsense style. From big horn-heaved festival skankers such as Krak In Dub's 'Life Pon The Line' to minimal flare-ups like Nemy's Vitiligo', the full spectrum is covered here. Extra fistbumps go to Arkange's insane 'Get Bullet' for it's absolutely twisted riff on 'Get Bullet'. Wild by name, wild by nature.

Reading like who's who in tomorrow's talent, highlights hang off every corner like a poorly fitted suit... Vital's 'The Streets' is pure machine gun menace, Kre's 'Peaky Blinders' is all slices and dices with its maximal wall of sound and cool glitchy freak-outs while Woolf's remix of Yatuza's 'Don't Be Absurd' ends this forward-thinking VA with a subversive super deep twist. Hard hitting.

Review: Bang! Hot on the heels of his massive 31 Records release comes another beastly collection from the young Argentinian producer Yatuza. Packing an essential message we can all agree on, 'Love Is King' is a subtle wriggler with all the funk and grace happening in the subs. Elsewhere 'Criminal Investigation' is a scuzzy brusier that wouldn't go amiss on Sofa Sound, the brilliantly titled 'Fuck Big Room' (with Asura) is a wrecking ball of a tune that swings back and forth with a rubber ball bassline, destroying everything in its wake while the finale 'Filtered Vision' finishes the EP with a class but curmudgeonly grizzle. Lovely.

Review: Sub-liminal brings an end to the year that was, going out all guns blazing with on Air Part 2 featuring a bunch of wicked VIPs. Label staple Agro serves up several collaborations on here with the likes of Mentah, Raz, Diligent Fingers and Ghxsty. There's also a few offerings by the ever reliable Yatuza; our pick being the wonky stepper of "Distance" with Master Error. Elsewhere, Pyro pops up a few times throughout and was in fine form on "Smithdown Bass" and Prestige handed in a couple of quality dubs with neurofunk cut "Logical" being our pick of the bunch.

Highlights include: DJ Direkt's subterranean roller "Claret", Yatuza getting mental on the neurofunk trip of "Seeing Things", the ever reliable Conrad Subs steppin' out into the darkside on "Sketchy", while more expansive UK flava comes in the form of Guzi & Agro's grime crossover "The Dirty South" (Guzi remix) and with names like Malicious & Bass Antics you'd surely be in good hands right? Their offering "Talk & Chat" ticks all the boxes.

He teams up here with the enigmatic Sequences for the seething subterranean neurofunk of "Shattered", the darkside steppa "Optiv" which is reminiscent of classic Virus or No U-Turn, and closing it out with the evil sci-fi beats of "Heads".

Review: Murky Digital do one thing, and that's pump out absolutely wild cuts of destructive D&B. That's their sole mission and, not for the first time, they've roped in Yatuza to help them accomplish it, a producer who is more than familiar with the peculiarities of dancefloor pressure and twisted sonics. 'Other Realm' is arguably the best cut on the EP, with absolutely wicked drums undergirding a Bredren-esque display of dragged-out bass wizardry and gurgling force - the back-end on this track doesn't take any prisoners. The other tunes are trademark Murky, with the punching stabs of 'Rolloz' and the stepping aggressiveness of 'Dark Wax'. Big stuff.

Review: Argentinian producer Yatuza teams up with Master Error for these two supreme howlers on Bulletproof. 'Stop It' takes the lead with a heavily punctuated rhythm and blocky snares creating the playground for the bassline to mess around in. Loaded with a great spoken sample, it's an all-out riot jam that will make you do anything but stop. It's backed by the slightly deeper tones of 'Motion Sickness', a track that bumps and grinds with a more subtle bassline, jazzy chords and a vital remix from Asura. Start it.

Review: Street Series EPs on Liondub are always big, but this one from Yatuza climbs to new heights as it reaches full album-length, with 15 full-length cuts for you to sink your teeth into. It kicks off with the stripped back urban sounds of 'Good Old Days', a tune that packs a hefty low frequency line with dancefloor atmosphere in its core. There are a number of features, and 'Bubbler' with Alex SLK is one of the best, a gargantuan head-nodder with a finger clicking snare and a wide, wobbling bassline. It's an album that will please anyone who knows anything about Liondub or Yatuza - fantastic work.

Review: Over on Sub-liminal Recordings, Yatuza is landing with an EP that blends the savage sounds of jump-up with effortless use of space and a clarity designed to impress but not overwhelm. 'The Divide' rests on finger-click drum hits that intersperse with a wobbling sub bass and choppy bass staps, it's got that head-nodding vibe to the drums we all love and it's an all-round masterclass of blending funk and aggression. 'Feel The Same' builds up with murderous intent above a body of furious kicks, before climbing the heights of euphoria into stabbing, flowing territory. Beautiful stuff, and we also love the wobbling gargles of the final track, 'Taken', which is just pure naughtiness. Big ups.

Review: Weapons of Choice are an insurgent force of a label who have been steadily growing for the last few years. Yatuza is the latest producer to join the family and his offering is one of stripped back sonics and fierce minimalism, a nod to the label's stylistic grounding and a reflection of his sound. Its title track - 'Macumba' - is a big tune that keeps to a ferocious pace in drums which smack of the old school, whilst a flurry of hats and rippling basslines keep things moving as well. The rest of the EP is also pure gold as well - proper drum & bass for true heads.
