Review: Armada Music 20 Years Classics pays homage to dance music's rich history and aims to educate a new generation of fans about the artists who shaped the genre. There's classics galore on this one as you'd expect, with several bangers by label chief Armin Van Burren, in addition to seminal anthems such as Joe Smooth's "Promised Land", Inner City's "Good Life" (remastered), Chez Damier's "Can You Feel It" (New York extended dub) and Olav Basoski's "Waterman" (extended mix), as well as appearances by newer artists like ANOTR, Patrick Topping and Jan Blomquist.
Review: Armada Music - Miami 2023 takes over Magic City right at the start of the festival season. With 40 tracks, this album is all fans require to supercharge their Miami experience. It features artists such as D.O.D. with the infectious funky house anthem "Set Me Free", legend Armin Van Buuren with the melodic euphoria of "Dayglow" featuring Stuart Crichton on vocals, as well as AVIRA with the deep and sensual cut "Dancing Alone" feat. XIRA, Kidnap with the glassy-eyed and bittersweet "Start Again" (Model Man Remix) and Lufthaus nailing that classic prog house sound of old on a remix of "Who We Are" by Enamour & Warung.
Review: Promoting global dance music from its offices throughout the world, Armada Music represents and cultivates the creative exploits of some of the biggest players in the game. Their end of year celebration comes in the form of Armada Club Classics featuring a whopping 30 tracks. Highlights come from Israeli dark disco merchant Moscoman, whose extended remix of Three Drives On A Vinyl's "Greece 2000" is as slinky and hypnotic as you like it, while man of the moment Kevin De Vries likewise delivers an extended remix; his is of Chicane's late '90s anthem "Saltwater" (feat Moya Brennan). Elsewhere, Eelke Kleijn will captivate you with his mesmerising "Blue Fear" Extended Night mix by label boss Armin Van Buuren, and for something with a bit more stomp to it there's the ever reliable Honey Dijon with an extended remix of legend Harry 'Choo Choo' Romero's classic "Tania".
