Review: X-Change Of Parts Vol. 1 is a fantastic collaboration between Young Adults and STE Roberts, delivering an array of addictive tech house jams that are both brilliant and serious in their intent. Ste Roberts opens the EP with 'Brain Freeze', a track characterised by its demented groove and clever vocal samples. The combination of twisted elements creates a minimal tech vibe that is as fun as it is sinister, setting a compelling tone for the collection. The Young Adult remix of takes the original into darker territory, enveloping listeners in haunting sounds that surround a wicked techno foundation. The addition of melodic elements pushes the track toward a futuristic soundscape, showcasing their knack for innovation. 'Apella' offers the playful acapella samples of 'Brain Freeze', providing a fun tool for creative mixing, inviting listeners to indulge in their own twisted remixes. Young Adults return with 'Emergency Distress Call', featuring a dark and serious bassline that drives the track forward, complemented by an eerie melody that lingers. STE Roberts' remix of this track injects an electro bounce, transforming it with funky rhythms and telephone keypad sounds that add an unsettling layer to the already wicked original. This EP is a fun and sure to resonate on dancefloors. Perfect music for the upcoming Halloween season too we might add!

Review: With their new-ish label Young Adults, Leeor Brown and David Fisher's aim is to source the best underground house and nu-disco being made across the globe. This has led them to releasing a new mini mix, entitled House Slippers, and here are the eight tracks featured in the their full, unmixed glory. It's an impressive selection that covers such territory as the Michael McDonald fronting Junior Boys-isms of "Only This Moment", the cloud nine electro-house of "Maybe Snakes (Permanent Vacation remix)", the retro French Touch loops of "Fake Bitches" and the synth-laden proto-acid of "Just Wear It".
