Canadian EP
Freeza Chin - "Slimmaz" - (3:18) 140 BPM Hot
Freeza Chin X Tripta - "Vacuum" - (3:46) 140 BPM
Tripta - "Shadowboxing" - (3:46) 140 BPM
YYZ - "Jiga" - (3:03) 140 BPM
Review: Next up from Strictly140, we see a very wavy selection of dubstep & grime inspired rollers, showcasing some seriously hard-hitting sounds. First up, Slimmaz delivers a skippy 2-step inspired instrumental, fusing catchy vocal samples and blipping melodies for a spicy result, followed by a solid collaboration between himself and Tripta entitled 'Vacuum', focusing this time on high octane kick rolls and bulbous 808's. Tripta then steps out solo for a classic grizzly grime instrumental by the name of 'Shadowboxing'. This one combines Davinche-esc brass and string stabs with fluttering drums for a vibrant showdown, followed by a tidy outro from YYZ, fusing Asian instrumental plucks with rolling trap-like drums on 'Jiga'. Awesome stuff!

Intent To Supply EP
Tocsin - (3:42) 140 BPM Hot
Exalt - (3:18) 140 BPM
Aware - (3:56) 140 BPM
Intent To Supply - (4:12) 140 BPM
Review: By now, we know what to expect from the Tormented Audio team, which is of course nothing but top quality creation. They welcome the sweeping sounds of YYZ to the table with this brand new EP, kicking off with the moody sub structures and breakbeat-sampling rhythms of 'Tocsin', which leads smoothly into 'Exalt', a regal sounding trapstyle roller. The party continues to grow as 'Aware' then decides to send us down a much more grizzly avenue, morphing together eerie pad textures with gnarly subs below, before we round off the fun with choppy rhythmic displays and spacey atmospheric designs of 'Intent To Supply'. It's a solid body of work to say the least, exploring the more abstract ends of 140 music.

Review: There are few things we enjoy jumping into more than a weighty new 140BPM collection, with Project Allout & Tormented Audio having supplied us with here in some serious style. They have arranged a pretty killer roster to get involved across 16 scorching designs, including the likes of Juzlo, CREEP N00M, Mr Mud, M4XW311, Dotty and more. The project as a whole oozes quality and creativity, exploring the deeper, more niche realms of 140BPM music with a dubstep-like edge being employed to the most of the tunes. For us, our highlights would have to include Jakebob's super grimey synthesizer structure in 'Pac & Wallace', followed closely by the punchy sample stabs and unpredictable percussive breakdowns of 'Power Up' from Boss Mischief. Awesome stuff!
