Review: It's been a short while since we last saw the Low Pitched flag flying at casa JunoDownload, but we are thrilled to see the label make their return, this time welcoming Z-Kat inside for a sumptuous two-track display, exploring funky, breaks and more all in one. First up, 'Concrete Shadows' focuses on growling synth swipes and heavily dubbed out chord progressions to give us a pretty groovy roller. On the flip to this, 'Routemaster' takes a fiery fusion of rave-style chord lines, throwback breaks and some innovative LFO design to give us one heck of a b-side, applicable to so many different areas of electronic dance music.

Review: It's always exciting to see top notch projects return to releasing music, an occurrence that we gladly see here as DJ Spookz jumps back onto the help at Low Pitched to deliver Z-Kat's scorching new UK Funky extravaganza. We kick this one off with a look at the high energy title track 'The Forgotten', an electric kuduro roller stuffed with percussive vibrancy. This is then chased up in style as the more tribal drum designs and relaxed atmospheric design of 'Baio' roll into play, before we tie everything up with 'Aquamortis', a euphoric creation that takes eastern melodies and super punchy drum sounds and rolls them into something magnificent.
