Review: Still reeling from their split release with The Juan MacLean, Mexican pairing Zombies in Miami reveal that Permanent Vacation have earned the rights to release the duo's debut album! It follows a stream of EPs and singles that date back to 2011 with releases for Internasjonal (think Prins Thomas), Correspondent (think Jenifer Cardini) and Bordello A Parigi, to contributions on Running Back compilations and remixes for Jori Hulkkonen. 2712, then, highlights in full the project's bright, rhythmic and synth-driven sound that combines house and techno hybrids with disco drums, balearic vibrations and future-retro Italo themes. They live!

Review: Zombies In Miami, the mysterious alias that seems to produce the funkiest and oddest strains of house around, return to action, and they land on the devilish Love On The Rocks, a certain go-to destination when it comes to the right spice. "Snake Language" is a robotic house cut that is bound to go down a storm on the big systems, and "Calo" is a little deeper and more loved in its eerie web of melodies and progressive beats. "Yama" has a tribal edge to it, bringing out flutes and psychedelic vibes all over the shop, whereas "El Fuego" heads back to the floor with a classy, straight-edged house beat and plenty of head-nodding.

Review: Having recently dabbled in the artist album format, Comeme turn to matters of a compiled nature with this fine collection of tracks presented under the banner Gasoline. Fans of the label will be pleased to see that Ana Helder contributes the title track, whilst Argentinean selectors Djs Pareja appear twice with one track a collaboration with fellow Comeme mainstay Alejandro Paz. It's also great to see the label introduce a few new names, with the self-styled GlasGoan Auntie Flo a perfect fit for Comeme given his previous output for Huntleys & Palmers, Permanent Vacation, Mule and Kompakt Extra. The presence of Mexican duo Zombies In Miami, Portuguese 'Bachelor House' advocates Voxels and Chileans Vaskular and Valesuchi suggests Comeme's A&R skills for uncovering new talent remains as keen as ever.
