Review: The legendary Scratcha DVA returns in sparkling form for this latest collection on DRMTRK, exploring the furthest recesses of experimental bass music across four wondrous originals. We begin with 'Shishabhe' alongside Mfumfanakagogo, a chilling soundscape, wading between synthesised melodics and moody bass notation, before both Trim & Mxshi Mo arrives for some wicked guest work on 'Dem Kno Me Alredy', a haunted soundscape, doused in dripping post-funky flavour. From here, a more grimey avenue is explored as Mez, Jammz & Mxshi Mo all make themselves known on the more traditional drumlines and abstract melodics of 'PFB', with Omagoqa's additional work on the epic soundscapes of 'Drillers' giving us one tasty closer.

Review: Stolen Velour makes a confident return to Kindergarten Records, showcasing intricate sound design and mind-bending rhythmic fluidity in his latest offering, Jasper This release, a blend of dancefloor silliness and floor-shaking heft, builds upon the palette established in his previous EP Onyx, pushing Stolen Velour's sound to new heights. Described by the artist as an 'ode to ambiguity' with symbols smeared and washed together, Jasper is a playful exploration of club music. The remixes by label regulars Sobolik and Despina give the EP its unique flavour and compliment, with Sobolik injecting space and a touch of dub into the opener, while Despina focuses on strobing breaks and a wobbly low-end groove in the reinterpretation of "I Know, I Know". Stolen Velour's ability to balance whimsy and weight makes Jasper a compelling addition to the Kindergarten Records catalog.
