Review: Smooth and jazzy joy abounds on this collection of remixes of B Dub's "B Funk". Their own 7" dub throws in a laidback trombone solo in place of the vocals, but it's Badboe who really kicks off the party with his DJ Spinna-esque treatment, recalling the great Fred Wesley at times too. It's full of life and would get even the staunchest wallflower grooving after a few seconds. Sard Boogie slows down the tempo on his mix and creates a melancholic soundbed for the brass solos to really shine. Funky brilliance spun out over three delightful tracks.

Review: The Danish may be all serious about design, but when it comes to partying the Breakbeat Paradise crew prove that they can be as frivolous as the rest of us. Here they've rustled up a bumper packed collection of cheeky if disposable mash-ups and edits of the kind that'll go down a storm in bars and house parties. There are six offerings some highlights of which include the squelchy retro funk breaks of "Walk In Place" by F-Block, the cut-up go-go boogie of "Free Wheelin Franklin" by Kibosh and the raw big beat swing hybrid "Hit Em Hard" by Blitzkrieger.

Review: If there's one label who is absolutely killing it in the breakbeat space, then the credits have to go to the USA's Fort Knox imprint, who seem to be able to offer winner after winner with each new release they send our way. Making their debut, it's the Backbeat Underground, a relatively unknown outfit - surely not for long - who comes through with three mixes of the supremely soulful "She Don't Love Me", a stunning charmer which will undoubtedly appeal to a large variety of soul boys and girls. Vocals like silk, instruments like gold and, of course, both a radio edit and an instrumental cut for ya!

Review: It's another absolute strike from the Breakbeat Paradise crew as they welcome the ever-ready sounds of BadboE to the table, delivering a vibrant original alongside a hip-shaking collection of remixes. First up, 'Hard Times' takes centre stage as shrill saxophone melodies and groove-inducing breakbeat arrangements give us a tasty original to work with, setting the mood just right for some remix action. Next up, Suckaside unloads a seriously weight refix clip, giving the track a much more dubwise feel, followed by the system-twisting bass crunches of Baxta & Boydex's overhaul, alongside Gramophone Soul's more dancefloor driven rethink. Every feature on this collection has a valid time and place, making it a very well arranged remix package!
