Review: Jamaican toaster Sizzla seems to be getting more positive with age. "Champion Sound", the fourth single to be taken from his wholeheartedly conscious and cheery Born A King LP, sees him adding his distinctive vocals to a deliciously warm and jaunty reggae riddim. A trio of contemporaries - Johnny Clarke, Burro Banton and Lyashanti - also tackle the same riddim. Each adds their own touch to proceedings, with Clarke's soulful interpretation and Banton's throaty, ragga-influenced toasting sounding particularly potent. There's also an astonishingly epic accompanying remix package, with the likes of Dub Phizix and Skeptikal taking it in turns to throwdown versions variously informed by dancehall, ragga, jungle and Skrillex style wobble-step.

Review: Benny Page is a name that's almost synonymous with the very idea of ragga jungle. Think of a scene-defining tune and chances are he'll have been involved in some way, so a collaborative album from the man with Sweetie irie is certainly worth taking notice of. Unsurprisingly it's a release full of recognizable names like Congo Natty and Eva Lazarus, the former sounding as iconic as usual over 'Power' - the first tune which sets an appropriate tone. There's several dub tunes, including 'Bless' with Eva, as well as the Mr Benn remix of 'Party With You', the full 170 original of which is a funky highlight of the album. Other highlights are 'Crocodile' and 'Should A Know' and both epitomize the Benny Page sound we know and love.

Review: Brixton-born legend Don Letts (- a cultural polymath, pop star, filmmaker, radio broadcaster, commentator, Grammy winner and DJ- ) curates the latest Late Night Tales compilation with a diabotical 'Version Excursion'. Song choices are diverse, from French dubsters' OBF's rendition of "Sixteen Tons", to Ash Walker's refix of Omar's "There's Nothing Like This" and "All I Do Is Think About You" - immortalised by the ill-fated Tammi Terrell and preserved here by Quantic (the latter two both exclusives). Amidst a wealth of rarities you'll also find a cover (by Wrongtom Meets The Rockers) of The Clash's "Lost In The Supermarket" while between much more is Lett's exclusive rendition of Big Audio Dynamite's debut hit, "E = MC2". Review: Homework. What's left to say about Daft Punk's monumental 1997 debut album that hasn't already been said? It's an LP that everybody loves even if some think it's their best work and others think it was only a hint of the really good stuff to follow. Well Mato has something more to say on the matter, going so far as to rework the whole shebang in a dub reggae style. It's a brave move, but guess what? It totally works, particularly on the spacey "Revolution 909" and the honey vocal-led "Around The World".
