Review: Dubstep Rotterdam Records is a Dutch label releasing quality tracks since December 2012. deeper, darker, dubwise bass. DJ Raptor, originally from a town near Rotterdam, is known for his variety in styles. He's able to set a chill vibe with the deep and darkest tunes, yet can also tear it up with the filthiest in dubstep. Testament to this is the brooding and downright sinister "Cold Outside" with its chillingly cinematic pads leading the way towards razor sharp beats and a bassline that can only be described as the devil's own. Next up, the paranoid reefer madness continues on the brutal "1 Out Of 8" which introduces some exotic riddims over its techno dub onslaught.

Review: If you're looking for tearout dubstep dynamite look no further. Rascal pulls out a riddim extravaganza across three tracks in collaboration with Sub Damage. The title track 'Raggatalk' is a built off sharp bass tones, sliding away amidst syncopated triplet drums. From here we move into the lethal synthesis and riding cymbals of 'Traktor Beam' which is designed to turn any dance to a zoo. Finally we have 'Kill Dem' which is reminiscent of early Coki with its grinding low end oscillators and powerful drum processing!

Review: Cleveland-based dungeon master Rasper graduates with honours from his spatial awareness masters degree in bass university with this immense trio of oceanic depth charges: The slick minimal "BioRelease" is all about the metronomic hypnosis hook and caveman-like sample on the fourth beat. "Tella" continues the lean look with added classic dub reverb techniques while "Endure" takes us into the darker side of the dance with a chubbier - but still very restrained - bass texture. The dubstep game is a marathon, not a sprint... We all need some "Endurance" power.

Review: The US' Rasper earns himself a spot on his native Cleveland's Sure State label, a number one spot for deep and deadly American dubstep. "Claimed Dub" is exactly the sort of gear that we're vibing to these days, a hollow, levitating bit of percussion loosely held together by the gigantic swell of low hertz underneath it. "The Avenue" lightens the mood up slightly, but Rasper's inimitable style is still firmly in place; a dubgy, wondering sort of sway. Excellent and recommended to the fans of Mala and the like.

Review: You're in for a slice of dubwise delight with this one as Rasper drops in on Sure State for a fantastic two piece special. On the A-side we are blessed with the thick subs and incredible spacious textures of 'Blah' whilst 'Brute' takes a more haunting approach. Layers upon layers of spooky atmospherics descend onto dubbed out drum selections and thunderous bass melodies. This one a must have for the dubstep community for certain!

Review: Whenever we see the Sentry Flag planted into the new release section of the Juno store, we have to prepare ourselves for the adventure ahead, with this latest collection of goodness from RDG being molten to say the least. First up, Killa P arrives for an earth shattering vocal appearance on 'Press Trigger', an industrial sweep through murky atmospherics and booming subs, before 'Rhinoceros' acts like it says on the tin, charging through with booming impacts and thudding drums to match. From here, 'Stone Stone Tusk' brings in the murky textures of 'Foamplate' for a slithering dip into gnarly dubstep goodness, before closing the more minimal percussive textures and taps of 'The Hand Above' allows us to round off the project in style.

Review: Delivered exactly a year after his huge "Prototypes" sophomore, RDG delivers yet another clutch of innovative bass constructions. It's clear he means business the minute "No Turning Back" a slinky cut where a stretchy sub wriggles, giggles and gets filthy with a 2008-flavoured wub. "Dillinger" follows on a rolling techy flex where the sub fluctuations are complemented by a Distance-weight sheet metal riff. No letting up till the bitter twisted end, "Vengeful Thoughts" combines trad dub drums with alien screams while "Thank You" does the toxic sludge stomp with T-1000 level menace. Plenty prototype hype.
