Review: There's no doubt that Chad Dubz has earnt his awesome reputation within the dubstep pantheon, having pulled together one of the most consistent release runs of any UK artist in this space. This time around he continues his ascension as he lands on the legendary Deep MEDi Musik, opening with the gnarly warbles and eerie chord progressions of 'Blouse N Skirt', playing the role of an unorthodox yet weighty title track. Next, a sub sweepers paradise as 'Made By Nature' lets loose a system-melting display of low-ended energy, with the eye-watering LFO's and crunchy dubwise delays of 'Judgement' in close pursuit. Finally, 'Night Ride' gives us our final chapter, welcoming spacey pads and subtle bass curls to give the track a sleepy yet smooth touchdown. Top notch work as per!

Review: Ever since we heard that this link up was in the works we have been absolutely buzzing, as Chad Dubz dives onto the Wheel & Deal roster for a sumptuous new EP drop. We begin with 'BS5', a low-riding system rattler, driven by gnarly bass flips and unpredictable drum delays, before the subtle pad textures and engulfing sub pressures of 'Back 2 Basics' send us right back to a late night drivers vibe. From here, the grizzly 808 pulses of 'Light 'Em Up' make lively appearance, driving a minimal drum arrangement forward with some serious system enemy, before a killer link up sees Fiend join the party on 'Hypnosis' for a more stripped-back, melody-lead design to round off the EP in style.

Review: For us, Chad Dubz has been one of the most consistent names across the dubstep sound for the best part of the last few years, so to see him make the leap upwards to the legendary Deep MEDi imprint is no surprise. He arrives with a dazzling album display, featuring 9 captivating original creations, exploring the full range of the Bristol-native's musicality. Opening up with the introspective sounds of 'Universal Vibration' alongside the legendary Warrior Queen / Bozanna Evans, we also see a collection of other heavyweight vocal presences step forward, including D-Los, Logan, Riko Dan, Killa P & Magugu. Even with this star studded display, Chad still manages to impress on his solo creations alongside this, with the blippy beauty of 'Forever', dubwise mastery of 'Love Is Everything' and drippy soundscapes of 'Om' all bringing something refreshing to the table of this very well thought out LP. Fantastic work from Chad Dubz, as always!

Review: The Foundation Audio camp has the utmost respect of the Juno Download team, with their release catalogue never seeming to falter for one second. This brand new drop from Chad Dubz is yet another example of their incredible consistency, kicking off with the luminous sub-bass designs and general eeriness of 'Anxious' before Teffa joins the party for 'Ghostin', an LFO-driven swampy stomper. The pace quickens next as the more sweeping bass textures and constantly shifting rhythmic arrangements of 'Headnod' take us down a completely different avenue before rounding off on 'Let Go', a breaks-influenced warbler to add that final dash of variation.

Review: Foundation Audio founder Chad Dubz steps up with his debut album. And, as you'd expect, it's a document of daring dark design. From the moment the anvil-like kicks of opener "Transcending" punctuate with precision, you know you're in for a treat. Deeper into the narrative, cuts such as a "Shaka" and "Dark Ones" tell ominous stories of minor key jungle-minded mischief while cuts such as "Stay" bellow with such a moodiness and such bulbous bass detail that you have to stop and catch your breathe. Further into the blend again we hit cuts like "Witnessed" where dungeon-destined spaciousness plays the lead role, showing the Chad knows the genre and his craft with an intimacy most artists dream of. Debut albums don't come any clearer. Any further questions should be directed to Chad directly...

Review: There is no doubt in our minds that Bristol's own Chad Dubz is one of the leading forces in the modern dubstep movement, consistently filling the shelves with innovative dubwise creations. Here we see him touch down on Foundation Audio for another monster of a release, kicking off with the dungeon inspired flavours and earth shuddering subs of the title track 'Kingdom Dub'. Next up we dip into the wonky percussive madness of 'Space Cadet', before we then land on a hell of a finale in 'Drainpipe', which is driven by super creative revving subs and glitchy arpeggios.

Review: It goes without saying at this point, but screw it, we will repeat ourselves with a good old uttering of 'It looks like Chad Dubz has done it again'. Landing on his home imprint of Foundation Audio, the 'Foundations' LP is an excellent showcasing of futuristic dubstep brilliance. Made up of twelve swampy stunners, Chad Dubz once again confirms his spot among the best in the game, with the tracklisting varying dramatically between the more 'Anti-Social' inspired spaciness of 'Space Cadet' to the electronic mastery of 'System'. The whole project is a delight, with highlights including the moody LFO expressions of 'Anxious', alongside the exceptional soundscaping work behind 'Life', which links up unorthodox percussive lines with a hypnotic sense of rhythm throughout. Top stuff as per!

Review: As one of the most prominent dubstep labels working in the UK today, we were super excited to see the heavyweight Boka imprint team up with Bristol's Chad Dubz for a full length project entitled '22 Ounces'. As an EP it's everything you could want, jam packed with stepper-inspired creativity. We start of with the swamped out rhythms of the title track, leading into the more dubwise eastern blends of 'Elephant'. Next up we have the sub-driven yet spacious arrangement of 'Under The Influence', rounding the EP off with the haunting woodwind leads and unpredictable percussive patterns of 'Flute Dem'. Overall this is a great project for both Boka and Chad Dubz to end the year with.

Review: Chad steps aside from his Foundation imprint for a smouldering four piece on USV. As you'd expect from the Bristol young gun, it's a broad sonic smorgasbord than ranges from thick, mechanical grit ("Twisted") to a delightfully spacious, meditative freakery ("Blank") In between these two extremes we're immersed in deep dream depth plunges thanks to the delicate FX and penetrative bass on "Missing" and the crackling, pensive, score-like evocation of "Nothing". Progressive and wholly unique, Chad continues to push forward.

Review: We were extremely excited to see Chad Dubz's name appear in our recent sales section, as he unveils this band new project alongside the very well respected Dub Sector imprint. We kick this one of with the spooky lfo warblings of the title track 'Reptilian Bitch', before weaving our way into the more swingy bass circles of 'Wob'. Next, we explore the metallic arpeggiators and warm sub expanses of 'Rollin', before we take a step into the unknown as the unpredictable and spicy bass tones of LSN emerge with top draw recreation of 'Reptilian Bitch'. This one packs a real bite!

Review: Next up from the Foundation Audio imprint, they continue their incredibly impressive run of form as founder: Chad Dubz links up the Manchester based powerhouse known as JFO for a weighty three track collection. We begin our dive into this one with the sizzling sub textures and smooth drum designs of the title track 'Insight', which really does set the tone for the rest of the project right from the off. From here, 'Flow' warbles into play with its super tight low-end bass explosions, topped with unbelievably well processed drum clicks and piano stabs, followed by the amphibian synthesizer smacks of 'Amnesia', which brings pulsating basslines and yet more sharpened snare work to the table to round the project off in style.

Review: There really does seem to be no stopping the Infernal Sounds rampage as they pull another rabbit out of the hat with this one, inviting Chad Dubz & Somah inside for a system-ready four track selection. We kick off with the super energetic LFO lines and high energy drum slaps of 'The Business' which takes the mantle of title track with good reason. Next, 'Naraka' takes us back to an early Deep Medi feel, combining eerie chord progressions and string lines with warbling subs below, followed by the more subtle designs of 'Amplified', a bass-heavy swamp monster. FInally, 'Unresolved' gives us something a little different as it's uniquely designed synthesizer warbles give a final dash of spice to this wicked release.

Review: As a label, we are always pretty impressed with what the FatKidOnFire team are able to deliver, a feeling which extends to this tidy new remix drop as they unleash four new versions of previous corkers. Firstly, District unleashes a powerful display of steppers-inspired madness with his sub-heavy resketch of 'F#cking Spiders' from Dark Harmonics, before Chad Dubz lets the LFOs run wild with his dubwise overhaul of Maes' 'Jah Jah Livin' original. From here the project takes a more experimental turn as Leon Switch delivers an organic, crunched up rework of 'Dossier' from WZ, before Biome gets busy rebuilding the trippy synth flutters and powerful basslines of 'Nilaari' from Chad Dubz, putting the finishing touches on another top quality drop!

Review: Unruly Bristol bass business: Paragon does the bad smell thing and hangs around Foundation Audio after his last release. Dropping the tempo for his brother Chad Dubz, the result is two slabs of toxic dub primed for the darkest corners of the night, the dance and, ultimately, your psyche. "Totem" takes shamanic Berghain-style minor key arpeggios and smelts and hammers them over a two-step anvil while "Sirens" is an even heavier piece of apocalyptic rave music. All horns and alarms over a concrete tribal beat, it's yet another reason to keep your peepers locked on Paragon, Chad, Foundation and Bristol itself. Need a little chilly down time?
