Review: Italian producer and 808-aficionado Aquadrop joins Top Billin with a bass-heavy track featuring vocals by Rayna. Review: A varied cast of remixers take on Austin and Vinyl Junkie's "Can't Go Back", with the original sharing Prodigy-like beats and percussion with an '80s synth pop euphoria. Sanxion look to heavy dub step in their remake, while Cottonmouth is on a similar tip also. Maximum Baxter creeps in elements of Baile Funk with his version, while Dom Almond looks to peak time Euro dance as his inspiration. Strange Rollers cap of the EP with a remix that incorporates a shuffling grooves and hints of drum and bass while washing Rachel Wallace's vocals in heavy reverb.

Review: Weighing in at seven tracks, this is more of an album than it is a humble EP. And, as with all previous Bassclash releases, the standards are high and the sounds are savage to say the least. The title track says it all; an angular halfstepper with tightly processed tops on the bass frequency, it's fine tuned to create the ultimate dancefloor murkery. "Reflexion" plays the deeper, moodier counterpart. Sludgy, swampy and at points darned scary, it's the perfect balance of flavours. And that's before we get to the solo work and remixes on offer too. They didn't call it "Whopper" for nothing!

Review: Vandal Records is a french drum and bass label founded in 2004 by SKS which is devoted to the dancefloor. Sub-label "Vandal Limited" was founded in 2014 by SKS with Redeyes and is dedicated to liquid and deep music. Their compilation Grand Royal is back with it's fourth edition of footwork, jungle and halftime flavours on Vandal LTD with a massive volume featuring Balatron from Iceland who serves up the deep and deconstructed drum and bass creeper "Missplaced" (original mix) , Hast from the UK with some wonky deep dubstep on "Beat Canon" (original mix) , DJ Madd from New York with some blunted bass inflected hip hop on "Cheeky Steppa" (original mix) plus Crimes! from Portland USA with the absolutely wicked "Beetleborg" (original mix) with bassline so razor sharp it will potentially tear up your speakers so beware!

Review: And now time for a little shooter chatter. They're not the most talkative of fellows, but pistols always have the last word - this being no exception. Pensive, dramatic, locked and loaded with suspense, Rider Shafique has stern words with his heater while Baobinga and I.D ensure a riffle-like rhythm beneath. Coupled with bashy attack from Kahn on the remix -complete with chilling Detroitian synths - it's a double hit. Dark vibes continue elsewhere on the release with "Lickle Further", a cheery dancefloor tune about murderation. Militant riddims and serious Kingston flavours, put your pistols down and listen up!
