Review: Always punctual cosmic disco hero Marco Dionigi always averages about an EP a month, and once again he's right on time with a new release. Taking the whole space thing quite literally this time round, here he presents a stellar three-track single. "Star System" appears as both a hi NRG style Italo-disco workout and a deeper, percussive house version, whilst "Constellation" is both a sleazy electro-disco joint with EBM undertones and, in its cosmic version, a bleepy, synth-heavy odyssey. Finally "Volt" is a minimal analogue box jam for a more underground setting.

Review: We've come accustomed to Marco Dionigi packing his releases with a veritable skipload of original tracks. Here, the veteran Italian producer takes a different approaching, asking some of his pals to remix "Magic", a typically cosmic blend of chugging arpeggio lines, bubbling electronics and bright synthesizer melodies. DJ Rocca delivers the most revolutionary rework, adding some classic dreamy vocal samples and trippy acid lines, whilst beefing up the bottom end. Simon Faz drops a smooth but chunky deep house revision, while Cosmic Sisters add a little beatbox electro swing to Dionigi's dancing electronics and tuneful synth lines.

Review: If Marco Dionigi is anything like as prolific as he was in 2010, 2011 is going to be another bumper year for fans of his updated Italo disco sound. Ice & Wood sees him in typically dancefloor-friendly mood, laying down another 10 road-tested grooves for discerning disco DJs. As usual, there's a range of moods and styles on offer, slipping between the slap bass-wielding deep house niceness of "Open Source Obscure" and retro analogue filth of "World In Hands" and "Vanguard" which are interspersed with intergalactic oddness "Mantis Girl" and middle eastern electro "Mirror Faces". As ever, it's more obviously disco-centric tracks that really impress, with "On The Record" and "Keep Holding On" standing out.

Review: Jerome Derradji's excellent Still Music sub-label, Stilove4music, continues to trickle its stunning back catalogue into the digital domain for the first time, and this week it's the turn of Mancunian deep haus don Trus'me. This was the 12" that first turned the world's gaze onto the Prime Numbers boss's brilliant knack for jazzy, sample based house (along with the now legendary Nards CD sampler). And it's "Nards" that opens this release, with the tense strings, funkafied bassline and sultry vocal snatches sounding as brilliant today as they did upon first release in 2007. Add to this the languid title track - predating the current vogue for slo-mo house by some 18 months - and rolling groove of "Good God", featuring a vocal sample of the legendary Teddy Pendergrass, and you have an absolutely essential release.

Review: What is there left to say about Marco Dionigi? In our numerous reviews of his scarily frequent releases, we've pretty much covered all bases. Here, he delivers another instalment of the long-running Dirty Analogic Party series, in which he fiddles around with vintage equipment and delivers a blend of Italo, acid house and robo-disco party jams (and, it should be pointed out, sneakily edits up obscure releases from the halcyon days of cosmic disco). As usual, there's plenty for fans to enjoy, from the baggy alternative groovery of "Lights Went Down" and intergalactic pomp of "One More Mission", to the rugged disco-funk wig-out "Gain Off".

Review: What is there left to say about one-man-production-line and cosmic disco stalwart Marco Dionigi? Over the last couple of years, we've consistently sung his praises, despite a release schedule so packed it makes keeping up almost impossible. The Dirty Analogic Party series has always been one of his most trustworthy and floor-friendly brands, gathering together groovy, sample-heavy tracks and sneaky re-edits that blend elements of analogue house, cosmic rock, weirdo disco, Italo and Balearica. This eighth volume boasts plenty of playable fare, from the 808 boom and Robotnik-ish electronics of "Hiccups", to the cowbell-driven Euro-dirt of "I'm A Disco Machine", via the slo-mo pulse of cosmic rock oddity "Justice".

Review: Cosmic disco stalwart Marco Dionigi returns to action, and this time he's wielding one of those ludicrously over-sized alien-hunting guns sported by Will Smith in Men in Black. I'm A UFO Hunter is loosely based around the search for extra-terrestrial life forms, with many of the tracks boasting vocal samples from B-movies and wacky American TV reports about suspected spaceship sightings. Musically, the album flits between stargazing cosmiche vibes (see the rather lovely "What Star Did You Come From"), alien Italo ("The Higgs Boson is Real") and vaguely Balearic curiosities ("UFO Sightings in the Middle East"). It's arguably his best album for some time, and certainly the most interesting.
