Weighty enough to buss up a system, roomy enough for both MCs to give all ladies in the dance a heartfelt salute, intimate enough to get everyone dancing up close... Review: The life of Brain: get up, make a banger, sleep, repeat. An inherent vibes man, he's clearly not tied by any one subgenre and just makes straight up dnb heaters from the soul. It's been this way for a long time for the German gully merchant and Liondub International have been part of the journey since the very early days. Now comes the latest chapter; five originals with some of the finest vocalists in the widest jungle circles: Daddy Freddy ,Brother Charity and Yemi Bolatiwa. Highlights include the utter ruffness of 'Original Wicked Man' and the velvet soul of 'Off My Mind'. Lighta crew!

Review: Boom! Bunnerz and Yoteii collide in deep space for this premium debut on Invicta. Two collabs, two solo originals, all kinds of fire, each cut hits a different spot. 'Grotville' takes the lead with its underground vibe. Anyone who's familiar with TFL will instantly smile as the tubes are sampled and used as part of the rises and we're taken to a whole new station none of us knew existed. Elsewhere 'Spaceman' sees them linking with MC Havoc for a white knuckle cosmic crusade, 'Catching Cases' sees Bunnerz letting rip with a grotty, twisted jump-up blend while Yoteii bring the EP to an exulting halt with the super futuristic minimal missive 'Dead Line'. Naughty.

Review: Dope Ammo brings dancehall-after-dark flavours to the dancefloor with this latest release on his own label Dope Ammo Recordings. Kicking off with title track "Feel The Desire", sexy, soulful vocalist Yemi Bolatiwa takes the track by the horns and rides it into a frenetic junglist frenzy. Shadi MC and Junglist Villain's VIP takes things into a jump-up hybrid world of fast-paced bass put into warp drive. In case you were wondering, track three is a vocal-free dub to fit perfectly with any hyped-up sets. It's tropical but it's got cool, hard dance sensibilities, perfect for working the floor.

Review: Dope Ammo Records have had a very successful year indeed and this release sees the veteran imprint go from strength to strength with a release that encompasses sounds from contrasting ends of the Drum & Bass spectrum. "Time for a change" sees Dope Ammo hook up with long term partner Resinate on the buttons, with the soulful tones of Yemi Bolatiwa on vocal duties. Yemi's stock certainly has risen since her appearance on the label this time last year. The three have combined to make a conscious reggae influenced jungle roller which is as invigorating as it is catchy, Gigante MC joins in on the action perfectly toasting with his ragga style in-between Yemi's uplifting vocals. On the flip Mr Ammo has teamed up with Jungle legend Marvellous Cain for the second release in a row. "Crossfire" is a perfect example of how to craft unashamed jump up DnB whilst maintaining high production values and creativity levels. Tension building stabs under a warm sub make way for a mercilessly hard hitting drop, leaving junglists eagerly anticipating the next export from their studio sessions. Expect to hear both of these tracks in sets for a long time to come!

Now flanked by a whole new league of exciting talent, while its main protagonists remain as innovative as ever, "Beats & Pieces Vol 2" is the latest premium dispatch: Dutch demon Frankie Nuts adds a little funk to his angular dubstep operations, Yultron switches up the halftime drama with an energy and playfulness that will slay dubstep and D&B floors while CRaymak gets busy on a contemporised 16 Bit style riff dynamic with added piano evangelism.
