Review: You've got to love Firepower for their distinct iconography on each release. Matching the sharp focus of the music, their trademark technicolour bass terror is evident in every aspect of their releases. "Bangladesh" is one of a kind; taking a classic tabla and distinctive rapid chant vocals there's an incessant groove which maintains a certain level of unruly funky, no matter how hard the bass gets. "Trippy" takes us much more of a cosmic journey. There's still a whole load of low-end riff mischief, but it's backed with the largest synth hook this side of the cosmos.

Review: It appears that the Firepower camp are at it again in the EDM world as Audiowrx steps forward for another headline EP slot. From beginning to end we are treated to some seriously lethal flavours, pushing everything that Audiowrx is about. For us it feels that there is something for all EDM fans on this one, be it the impeccable synth design and scattered drum selection on 'Down', the downright dirt that 'Freaks' brings to the table or even the more unpredictably smooth stylings of 'Feels' featuring Jade. Audiowrx has really flexed his production muscles and come back out with something beautiful!

Review: Previously known as Dec3mber, Leeds-based 20-something Chime makes his Firepower debut with a sprite-spitting, technicolour sound that sits somewhere between Fox Stevenson, Skrilly and Xilent. Animated and vibrant throughout, highlights include the melodic counterplay on "Catch Up", the beautiful cloud-chowing synth-laced breakdown and screwface drop on "Operator", the uncompromised Dodge & Fuski-style drop and bass lick on "Ethereal" and the toy-box-meets KOAN Sound dexterity of the title track. Big, colourful, fun but ultimately heavy. Chime ticks all the boxes here.

Review: The Firepower imprint continues to plough through strongly as they bring in the services of Chime for a voluptuous four track monster. We kick off with the title track 'Featherweight', which is a collection of bitcrushed melodies, super gritty bass synths and knockout ready drum punches. From here we move into the scatty metallic synths and random breaksy slices of 'Damage' alongside Lost Vegas before landing on the explosive sound design of 'Smokescreen'. Finally we wrap this weighty project up with the hellish expanse of electronic madness that is 'Missingno', complete with demonic melodics and powerful drum design.

Review: Dark Elixir makes his debut on Datsik's Firepower label. Joining big ticket label mates such as Hizzleguy, The Firm and AFK, he's ensured each of the six tracks really do the utmost damage. Kicking off with the slinky, rusty robot D&B bass jam "Hybron" his bass message is loud and clear. Other highlights include the sludgy, industrial-strength toxicity of "Syndicate" and the dreamy Starkey-style drama of "Titled". A true "Rogue" trader, Dark Elixir has stepped up a serious level or two.

Review: Writhing in the darker side of electro-tinged dubstep that still appeals to the wider EDM ears, Datsik's punching with new gloves, hitting a rich vein of form across the seven cuts. Ranging from the very cheeky title track that's half-time D&B (and comes complete with a massive switch-up after the drop) to a sexier state of slinky glitch ("Juicebox") via his more trademark screaming, swaggering halfstep ("Too Late To Say No"), this might be cold blooded but it beats and bleeps with a heart of bass-bitten gold.

Review: There are few names bigger in the dubstep spectrum than Datsik. Throughout the last 10 years the Canadian heavyweight has worked non stop and solidified his name in the history books as one of the leading producers in EDM worldwide. His new 'Master Of Shadows' EP on the Firepower imprint summarizes exactly why this is, from the irresistible bass grooves of 'Ronin Riddim' and 'Bad Behavior', the electronic overloads of 'You've Changed' along with 'Freakuency' and the future bass driven lead synths of 'Pressure Plates' and 'Find Me'. The EP is then rounded up by the highly anticipated collaboration 'Warriors Of The Night' alongside Germany's Virtual Riot, which is an absolute banger we might add.

Review: With a name like Firepower for a label, it's only natural that they would recruit heavy reinforcements to drop some killer dubstep bombs. This new collaborative juggernaut from Datsik, 1000 Volts and the mighty Redman - yes, the one and only Redman - shows just how far the genre has come in 10 years. No one could have pictured the charismatic NYC rapper to appear on the gnarliest of bass music going, and the two producers have managed to insert his iconic vocal flex into their rough, penetrative mounds of wobble hertz. This is a massive one-tracker, and it's the sort of bomb that can wreak havoc on our servers...
