Review: Often being portrayed as one of the UK's finest DJ's, Jaguar Skills is a name solidified across so many genres of dance music it's hard to summarize in one line. As a project "Miseducation Of A Hip-Hop Boss" is a homage to this, as we hear four high profile collaborations across multiple genres. To kick off "Riot Squad 2" in collaboration with Mind Vortex is an instant jump up anthem. Next up UK grime veteran Saskilla joins the party with his high energy vocal on another drum and bass belter entitled "Off My Rocker". Following this Milli Major & Face get involved on the high grime anthem "Air Pie" and the EP is then rounded up with the highly anticipated collaboration with Double S named "Levelz".

Review: With the time rapidly approaching for Skeptical to bring forward his 'Enjoy This Trip' LP on Exit, we have been blessed with a serious sample of the goodness to come in this brand new dubstep design by the name of 'Nebula'. Right from the off we are brought into a cohesive sphere of spacious atmospherics, crunchy dubbed out drum work and some seriously haunting bass leads, growling away beneath the composition. If this is just the taster, we can't wait for the full project to hit the shelves!

Review: Over the course of 2023, there is no denying that Incurzion Audio were one of the most impressive imprints out there, with a fantastic focus on unveiling a wide range of new dubstep talent. This time around, they commence the year with a heavyweight compilation drop, inviting 30 artists inside for the fourth edition of their 'We Are Incurzion' series. From the epic soundscaping of Gendo's 'Marble Elephant' to the emotive synth melodies of Lokal's 'Flatline' and more minimal percussive clicks of 'Ballistic' from Undercentrum & UMBRA, we get a fantastic array of electronic sounds to enjoy. For us, the two standouts include both the stomach-turning sub crunches of RWB's 'Vask Des Na' and of course the mind-melting acidity of Eth:er's monstrous 'Requiem' original. Awesome work across the board!

Review: Stickybuds is rapidly gaining the reputation as the guy that can rework any type of dancehall flavour, as he here unveils the remix project for 'Take A Stand'. No expenses are spared as he pulls together an all star cast of remixers, including the likes of A.Skillz, Beat Fatigue and Chris Munky to name a few. For us, there are a few clear standouts for this one, beginning with the Ahee remix of '99%', which reworks the original into a metallic snarling beast without dehousing Rubi Dan's fantastic lead vocal. We also find an immediate soft spot for Skope's album Goulash rework of 'Take A Stand' itself, which is packed with high energy synthesis from start to finish.

Review: Tempa drop remix package from Skream's 2010 all conquering Outside The Box album in the shape of the awesome "Where You Should Be". Whilst the track features the vocal talents of Sam Frank, they are so heavily subjected to vocoder that his lyrics meld into the spiralling array of keyboard hooks and twilight tinged arpeggiated synth lines - with suitably woozy results. Digital Soundboy boss and all round legend Shy FX drops a killer remix which starts with the Mtume "Juicy" riddim before switching to more familiar rolling junglist pressure ably assisted by some sweet additional female vocals. Watch out for that half time drop! Other remixes come from Laidback Luke, Seiji and Jack Beats, rounding off a solid release.

Review: Sam Zeiph Wheeler dons his black Ohmtrix shroud for his boldest, most diverse collection to date. Two dub, two D&B, all unique: "Image" is the swaggering dubstep we've come to expect from the young Londoner but the drums roll with much more of a loose 'real drum' feel which creates a new sense of funk the man has only hinted at before. "Myriad" ups the pace with dreamy vocal snaps and teases of really well chiselled synth hooks and molten bassline before we drop into the D&B territory: "All Alone" pumps with a classic early Brookes Brothers style synth hook and guitar twangs while "Tearing Me Down" plays the consummate role of gully roller with DLR style gurgles and bass sneers.
