The Hot Creations affiliated Jey Kurmis returns with more tough rolling tech-house shenanigans on London's CR2 - which was set up in 2004 by former Credence Records Boss Mark Brown. The Leeds based producer delivers some deep down and dirty sounds, that jack hard and are perfect for getting nasty at the after hours. From the sleazy "Snoop" with its bumpy bassline, straight-ahead rhythms and subtle diva vocals, to the tuff sway of "Jas" and the sunny "Ready-Ho" which is aimed squarely at dancefloors on The White Isle this summer - Kurmis delivers the goods as always.
The CR2 imprint is here for the summer, clearly, if this mini remix compilation is anything to go by! Disco Trax is where it's at, and it is indeed a killer selection of boogie-friendly dance vibes that are just tailor-made for those long, sunny evenings. Kindred Soul is remixed by Dr Packer into a party-ready house/disco hybrid, while Nile Rodgers "Do What You Wanna Do" is made all the more suave by The Reflex's retouch. Lenny Fontana and Semedo drop similarly seductive house bombs, making this the right sort of EP for peeps who simply want to DANCE the summer away. BLAZIN'!
