Review: Kieran Hebden, better known by his moniker Four Tet, has graced us with his first full-length album in nearly three years. "Three," released on his own Text Records imprint, is a meticulously crafted exploration of sound, weaving together elements of electronica, downtempo, and folktronica influences. The album strikes a balance between organic and electronic textures. Tracks like "Loved" showcase Hebden's signature ability to manipulate found sounds and samples, creating a shimmering sonic tapestry. "Gliding Through Everything" leans more towards the downtempo side, with its gentle piano chords and woozy atmosphere. However, Four Tet doesn't shy away from exploring the electronic realm. Tracks like "Daydream Repeat" feature driving uptempo rhythms intertwined with ethereal piano melodies, showcasing his talent for building tension and release. "Storm Crystals" injects a dose of ambient energy, while "Skater" leans into playful, almost chiptune-like melodies. The closing track, "Three Drums" (another pre-release single), brings back the energy with its pulsating bassline and infectious groove. Not to miss!

Review: A dash of Trans-Atlantic collaboration here, as Miami-based Mexican (and Tour de Infinite founder) Rigopolar joins forces with Discoteca Seduction founder Disto Disco for the first time. Lead cut 'Untitled' joins the dots between driving, punk-funk-influenced dub disco, dark disco and trance-infused nu-disco, while 'Spaced Out' is a harder-edged and more rave-igniting slab of arpeggio-driven electronic disco that comes complete with robotic vocals. The latter is impressively remixed by Phunkadelica, whose revision is a strobe-lit peak-time treat, while 'Untitled' is reworked twice. First Colossio & Cabizbajo recall the halcyon days of "new rave" on a growling guitar-flecked revision, before Childs delivers a deliciously chugging, shoegaze-influenced wall-of-sound take that may be the EP's most inspired moment.

Review: And they just keep on coming... This is the sixth instalment of Noisia remixes from some of the brightest and most twisted minds across the electronic board. From newcomer to veteran, the remix doors are open and rules are out of the window. Highlights on this particular collection include the return of the mighty Sleepnet who effectively remixes himself to dramatic effect, the almighty breaks lashing from Glitch Mob, the unholy 4x4 neuro twist up from Black Sun Empire and Nikki Nair's amazing twist on Split The Atom that includes Foreign Beggars bars never before released! RIP Ebo! An honorary mentions goes to Koarse, too, for his gabba shake-up finale. The first remix of 'Dead Limit' so far, this sets the benchmark high. Long may the Resonance series continue.

Review: In honour of its tenth birthday, Donato Dozzy and Tin Man's first - and so far only - collaborative EP is given the remix treatment. This time round, it comes in lightly expanded form, with 'Test 3' appearing in two forms: the blissful ambient acid style original mix (a wonderful mid 1990s throwback) and a previously unheard vocal version, which not only adds a drowsy, effects-laden lead vocal, but also a hypnotic, soft focus groove. Elsewhere, 'Test 7' is a fine slab of otherworldly deep house/acid house fusion, while 'Test 2' is a more out-there, mind-altering ambient acid excursion.

Review: Seven years after Bitter Music, Perc returns with his fourth studio album. The Cut Off is bookended with the gentle ambience of "Can You Imagine" and the droning "Calcify"- and includes other divergences like the jittery electronic soundtrack on "Heartbeat Popper". "Milk Snatchers Return" also presents another unexpected turn as Perc fuses atmospheric synths with dense tribal drums. But his focus soon turns to this signature sound. The sharp percussive shapes of "Static", which features Sissel Wincent on vocals, is an industrial techno anthem in waiting. And the intense acid of "Cold Snap" and the pounding kicks and heads-down rhythm on "Full Goblin" are reminders that few producers do forward-looking, impactful techno as well as Perc.

No word, no warning, no hype, no histrionics; just king DRS casually dropped a new album sized mixtape full of brand new originals with artists such as Dogger, Sl8r, Chiccoreli, Zar, Disrupta and Mindstate (to name a few) Loaded with interesting skits and interludes, along with a full mix version, this is DRS at his most wide armed, soulful and vibrant. Review: Since their label inception back in 2018, the team over at Wisdom Teeth have done a great job at both cultivating and innovative forward thinking electronic music, with their roster featuring a number of true veterans of the game. This latest compilation takes the title 'Club Moss' and sees them assemble 14 fiery original creations, featuring the likes of Facta, K-Lone, Maya Q, LUXE, Purelink and more, all of whomst deliver naught but quality in their chosen creations. For us, despite this being a longer project, there are two clear standout recordings, the first of which is of course Cousin's atmospheric drifter in 'Tooth 4 Tooth' which gives us a spacious, exploratory feel. Alongside this, the moogy sub bounces of Tammo Hesselink's 'Cupboard Cylinder Salon' original also tops the list for us, showcasing the variation of styles that sits within the Wisdom Teeth camp.

Review: It's a well-known fact at this point that Modeselektor remains one of the most unique and interesting electronic acts currently out there. This album, entitled 'Extended' is a perfect showcasing of that commitment to exploring the unexpected, with each and every track offering us something a little bit unexpected, from the unusual rhythmic approaches of 'Keller' and 'Cthulhu Drums', through to the intense, metallic synthesizer pulses of 'Mean' and spacious soundscaping of 'Disc'. It's a full-on journey through production mastery in our eyes, with our individual favourite tracks including 'Bilbao' with its a combination of synthetic harmonics and unique percussion, along with stunning landscapes and harmonic designs of 'Lockdown', which sits majestically as one of our favourite synth pieces so far this year. Incredible work!

Review: After a 17-year hiatus since his debut album, Call Me Killer, Heiko Voss returns with the remarkable 3:30 Minutes To Live - originally released in 2022 on Michael Mayer's IMARA label. Now, here come the remixes, so obviously titled as "3 Remixes for Heiko Voss". Running Back guru Gerd Janson lends his rhythmic touch to "Follow Your Line", steering it towards the vibe of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" with an infectious groove to captivate those bigger dancefloors. Next, techno pop grand dame ADA works her magic on the funk-infused "Talking Man", transforming it into sensationally soulful club track, while thirdly a potent Dub Version of "Follow Your Lin"" by IMARA and KOMPAKT boss Michael Mayer showcases the legend's golden production skills - breathing yet more life into Voss' work, affirming that good things do indeed take time.

Review: It was around 2022 that we last heard from dBridge with the M|E album and collaborative EP with Madison Willing called Made In Silence, before last year's mini LP with Homesick. Keeping it at the edge of what's definable and what drum and bass experimentalism once more - the EP kicks off with a percussive and melody-tinged "Teenage Echo", with its chord elements passing over into something more elongated in "My Resolve". With oriental themes somewhat abound, alongside some zaps familiar to the Raster-Noton trained ear, "Meridian" continues the vibe until we reach a 80s-esque pop balled in "I'm Damned". Bringing it back to square one, though, is EP closer "Antwerp Skies" - a dBridge sleeper classic for the ages.

Review: Three years since My Own Private Island comes the second proper studio album from Bristol duo Mystic State. Flexing the tempos and blurring the boundaries as always, the pair roll out a collection thoughtfully with attention to detail in the album craft. From the smouldering contemporary cosmic jungle of 'The Uprising' to the soulful hurricane of 'Stormboy' (with Lucy Kitchen), Mystic State glide, slide and open ears wide with a measured and very focused sound and sense of soul. Complete with collabs with the likes of Alicia Kiah, Cutta Chase, Elysia Grace, Third Degree, Lucy Kitchen and Marenn Sukie, this is a body of work that will complement any context, situation or season. Mature but not overcooked; Mystic State are on another level right now.
