Review: Since their label inception back in 2018, the team over at Wisdom Teeth have done a great job at both cultivating and innovative forward thinking electronic music, with their roster featuring a number of true veterans of the game. This latest compilation takes the title 'Club Moss' and sees them assemble 14 fiery original creations, featuring the likes of Facta, K-Lone, Maya Q, LUXE, Purelink and more, all of whomst deliver naught but quality in their chosen creations. For us, despite this being a longer project, there are two clear standout recordings, the first of which is of course Cousin's atmospheric drifter in 'Tooth 4 Tooth' which gives us a spacious, exploratory feel. Alongside this, the moogy sub bounces of Tammo Hesselink's 'Cupboard Cylinder Salon' original also tops the list for us, showcasing the variation of styles that sits within the Wisdom Teeth camp.

Review: Bam! No word, no warning, no hype, no histrionics; just king DRS casually dropped a new album sized mixtape full of brand new originals with artists such as Dogger, Sl8r, Chiccoreli, Zar, Disrupta and Mindstate (to name a few) Loaded with interesting skits and interludes, along with a full mix version, this is DRS at his most wide armed, soulful and vibrant. Juiced up with plenty of fodder for the soulful DJs to spin, but sculpted as a musical experience, this is an amazing deep dive into the deepest corners of Delrokski's soul.

Review: On 2012's Luxury Problems, Andy Stott delivered his most rewarding work yet - an impeccable exploration of the twin attractions of lightness and darkness that was near impossible to pigeonhole. Faith In Strangers, that album's belated follow-up, is similarly minded. Peppered with audible references to his many inspirations - field recordings, found sounds, dub techno, IDM, ambient, post-dubstep and trip-hop, in particular - it's a set that quietly drifts between sludgy dreaminess and pin-sharp late night horror. As such, it's an inspired set, with Stott's use of odd instrumentation and the evocative vocals of Alison Skidmore significantly enhancing the experience.

Review: In honour of its tenth birthday, Donato Dozzy and Tin Man's first - and so far only - collaborative EP is given the remix treatment. This time round, it comes in lightly expanded form, with 'Test 3' appearing in two forms: the blissful ambient acid style original mix (a wonderful mid 1990s throwback) and a previously unheard vocal version, which not only adds a drowsy, effects-laden lead vocal, but also a hypnotic, soft focus groove. Elsewhere, 'Test 7' is a fine slab of otherworldly deep house/acid house fusion, while 'Test 2' is a more out-there, mind-altering ambient acid excursion.

Review: Over the years we have become very used to Om Unit supplying us with some of the most experimental musical creations out there. This brand new album entitled 'Acid Dub Stories' is the embodiment of that refusal to fall into line, with the tracklisting exploring electronic music production in a way we have never heard before. There is distinctly retro feel about the general arrangement of the project, from the moogy synthesizer action of 'Ghosts' and 'Bristol Theme' to the more spacious use of pad textures in 'Dissolved' and 'Celestial Envoy', It's impossible to define the project within any singular bracket, with it being best described as a masterpiece in digital sound design. Other highlights include the constantly alternating melodic structures of 'The Struggle' and the digital dubwise vibes of 'Circled'. Amazing work!

Review: Andrew Weatherall and Timothy J Fairplay's project of dubbed out disco and house spread itself comfortably across the Ruled By Passion, Destroyed By Lust LP on Rotters Golf Club mere months before, and now a rag tag collection of remixers has been drawn together to reinterpret most of the album. They've reached for like-minded souls, such as Group Rhoda's seductive minimal wave patter, or the nervy industrial undertones of Justin Robertson's Deadstock 33s. Black Merlin do an especially captivating job of soundtracking "Skwatch" into a lurid 80s gore fest for the ears, while Scott Fraser whips up a hypnotic Italo inflected stomper, but really every one of these esteemed producers adds to the overall tone of vintage, motor-powered dance music for ghoulish souls.

Review: Spun Out is a London-based artist booking agency which has been run by Caroline Hayes for over 20 years, that looked after the life and times of the late great Andrew Weatherall alongside his partnership with Sean Johnston under their A Love From Outer Space moniker. More of that Frightful Oompty Boompty Music is a tribute to the 'Guv'nor' which showcases artists from the agency's roster. Timothy J.Fairplay serves up the chugging dark disco of "Reality Rules", Paranoid London deliver some strobed-out and proper old-school techno on "Spinning Out", go deep into the exotic on Mehmet Aslan's hazy "Shizowaves" and feel the neon-lit jack of Fantastic Twins's "Kali's Tongue Was A Weapon".

Review: Next up on Innate is a split release between Gilbert and label owner Owain K. One of the UK's champions of esoteric machine soul, its sixth release sees Innate continue to fly the flag for deep, melodic music. Gilbert's "Low Flying Objects" plots a path that focuses on warbling, acid-tinged bass and tight drums - a framework that allows the author to weave in saccharine melodies. "Unknown Entities" is an introspective piece, recalling As One or even Ian O'Brien's Detroit-influenced home listening work. Owain K's "Corona Borealis" melds a resonating bassline with steely beats to create a brooding track. Like Gilbert, he also pivots to the dance floor - the deeper than deep "New Horizon" is a fluid groove that recalls contemporaries like Miles Atmospheric. Stellar stuff as always.

Review: It's time for a delightful dip into the realm of acidic bliss as Client_03 arrives with four system-ready stompers, exploring the more electro-inspired side of electronic dance music, kicking off with the thunderous bass moogs and high intensity percussive scats above, throwing us right into this deep end of the EP from the jump. Next, the more emotive harmonic layering and stripped back drum designs of 'Tactical Empathy' are on hands to switch the mood drastically with a truly beautiful design, before throwing us right back down to the basement with 'Symmetry Verification', a squelching showcase of true acidic understanding, wrapped up in intense 4/4 rhythms which would energise even the most tame of listeners. Finally, the bulging bass pulses and high-tempo arrangements of 'Repeat Analysis' give us something a little different to take in, as we round off the EP with this more minimal backdrop for good measure!
