Review: Sometime Skint, Twin Tub and Hot Haus contributor ABSOLUTE makes his Shall Not Fade label debut via a five-track missive full-to bursting with energetic, mind-mangling club cuts. Bold electronic melodies, doom-laden 'Hoover' bass and breathless techno beats are the order of the day on 'Only Me', while 'In My Mind' wraps sharp, heavily edited rave riffs around another booming bassline and tribal techno drums. Title track 'Is It Raining In Berlin' sees him blend chunky house beats with deep bass and infectious melodic motifs, while 'So Good' is a booming, bassline-driven breakbeat house monster and 'Creeper' is a deep, ghostly and hypnotic house number that sprints along at a techno tempo.

Review: Smooth and soulful house of the deeper spectrum from globetrotting Canadian producer Adam Hyjek featuring the fabulous vocal talents of Tommie Cotton; Jocelyn Brown eat your heart out! The original version is well produced and nails that classic deep house sound, reminiscent of the grooves that Jay Shepheard or Futureboogie's Lukas equally have a knack for. London's Mike Millrain steps up to give the track an U.S. garage style remake which is so authentic you'd think it was a lost track from '92. Quite fitting that Lamont Dex steps up next to deliver a U.K. Garage rendition, with its 2-step beat this release will equally appeal to party animals on each side of the Atlantic.
