QULT EP
Acti - "Peralux" - (6:35) 130 BPM Hot
Geck-e - "She Likes It" - (4:26) 135 BPM
Audiofreq - "1NC0M1NG" (feat BRK3) - (4:52) 128 BPM
A*S*Y*S - "Drums Of Fire" - (3:37) 130 BPM
Review: Q-Dance's contribution to the harder side of the dancefloor goes from strength to strength this year as the Dutch brand curate a full-flavoured four-pack of barbed-bass EDM/hardstyle hybrids. Geck-E's "She Likes It' is the most uncompromising of the bunch thanks to demonic pitched down vocal and gabber slow-jam stomp. Elsewhere we find Acti polishing up a classic Public Enemy sample, Audiofreq getting all emotional and anthemic and A*S*Y*S getting all militant and tribal. "QULT" = quality.

Review: Euro / Italio Dance is a sound perhaps not to everyone's taste, although it does have a massive place in the global market, especially countries like Spain where Victor Ark hails from. With a current lack of good quality tracks for the genre, this stands out a mile. Featuring Daniela on vocals, and leaning heavily towards electro climbs with some trancey lead lines thrown in, there is no denying it will be a winner on those Euro floors, especially over the festive party season.. and there's plenty of mixes to choose from too.

The Fall
Components - (5:50) 130 BPM Hot
Rejoice - (6:08) 127 BPM
The Shade - (6:27) 127 BPM
Review: Another week, another anonymous techno release. This time however, there is one major difference; the standout track on this three-tracker is about as far removed from electronic gloom as is possible. "Components" is a beautiful, deep house track, its lush chords flowing and ebbing over a fluid groove. There is a darker side to Chinanski and this comes out on "Rejoice", which revolves around a tougher, less musical approach. By the time he gets to "The Shade", this mystery producer has ventured into hammering, hard techno. While it is undoubtedly effective, it can't match the hypnotic deep house of "Components".
