From the moment the razor sharp breaks jump out and slap you on 'Memories' you know you're in for a treat as we're taking on a wild rave ride that salutes to hardcore and prays at the church of rave just as much as it preaches the good word of jungle. Highlights include the paranoid pads and tension on 'Hypocrites', the soundsystem shaking crash cymbal slammer 'Running Out Of Time' and the series of versions of 'Wha Do Dem'. Pure fire with serious messages.

Review: Old-school roughness, can it be beaten? Maybe, but there's something so charismatic about jungle music that's embedded within the textures and soundscapes of times gone by, like a window into the past that also wants to make you boot your TV out the front door. This release does just that, and 'The Fantasy (Darker Mix)' is the perfect blend of scratchy vocal leads, warm bass tones and clattering junglist strikes. 'Jungle' is just as good, with an eerie synth line that wobbles and weaves down into a roughshod spasm of ravey percussion. Love it.

Review: Breaking down the walls behind jungle and grime are Good 2Bad and Hugly, who with this four-track EP combine slower beats and more traditional grime instrumentals with the speed and pace of breaks. The vocals are wicked as well, especially on 'Brush Dem Off', which features a main piano line that adds a haunting amount of melancholy to an otherwise aggressive, pumped track. 'Skanking' continues in a similar vein, before the final two tracks go full on jungle mania. Proper stuff.
