Review: The 3 Feet Deep have now unveiled a very exciting collection of original flavour, as they unveil this jaw-dropping 'Made In France' compilation, which opens up with the super smokey pad sweeps and groovy drum textures of Bernado's 'Bells Of Death', setting the tone very nicely from the jump. Next, Enrico Dragony gives us an old school thumper in 'The Special East', followed by DJ W!LD's more choppy bubbler in 'Blah Blah Fuckin Blah'. To close, Stefan Dubs firstly steps up on 'Awaken Dub', a Tempa-style throwback, packed to the rafters with warbling LFO madness and digitised horn themes, before the smoother electronic textures of Pepe Elle's 'Get Rockin' let's loose a top notch swan song to close things off. Awesome work!
Review: Next up on 3 Feet Deep, a tidy dive into futuristic breakbeat flavour, with a dash of old school energy as Jordan Dessar delivers his awesome 'Nostalgic' EP. We open with the glittering synth pads and shimmering vocal stammers of 'Loose Your Soul', which sets the tone right from the jump, before a slight pace quickening on 'Addicted', which strips the vibes back to the drums and subs. From here, another throwback feeler as blippy melodic skips and percussive heavy thumps throw themselves across the landscape of 'Back In The Day', before Stones Taro arrives for a jungle-inspired overhaul, which not only introduces a very tasty new direction to the EP, but also sees it out in style.
