Review: 3000 Grad stands for an organic style of modern electronic music. The label is one of the many projects of the 3000Grad artist collective from Mecklenburg, in the scenic north of Germany. Their next offering, the Astra EP, comes courtesy of Ukrainian DJ and musician The Advocate, who has built up a following due to some impressive releases on Wired, Timeless Moment and Lost On You. The title track is a sublime progressive house journey which will hypnotise you into submission with its exotic instrumentation throughout. Other highlights include the groovy minimal remix by label boss Mollono.Bass and closing track "Sel" which is a serving of epic dancefloor drama in the vein of Detroit legend Carl Craig.
Review: Just like the summer rain soon turns into a vibrant rainbow, the tracks on the new album by Ronny Mollenhauer aka Mollono.Bass give expression to the three primary colors of his soul. With vocals by I Am Halo and Kuoko, plus instrumentation provided by jPattersson, Marc Vogler and other musicians, you will definitely hear the frequencies of friendship on 'Woods, Tales & Friends' - a collection of tracks by the 3000 Grad boss and his friends over the last few years. All are testament to his versatile musical talent, such as the glassy-eyed and pop-inflected vocal deep house of "No Silence", or on the ominous journey into the exotic that is "Wild River" as well as the hypnotic dancefloor drama of "The Glade" to name but a few.
Review: Berlin tech house veteran Marcus Meinhardt is back, with a banging two tracker here courtesy of the Wustrow, Germany based 3000 Grad/Acker Records camp. Prepare for some moody and atmospheric dancefloor drama on the epic "Animal Kingdom" that's sure to bring on the vibe between the smoke machine and strobe lights. Next up, label boss Mollono.Bass (Kombinat100) steps up for an impressive remix, injecting more groove and dancefloor dynamics into it for an altogether more hypnotic and slinky result. This is Grad 3000's second release already for the year, following up Renga Weh's 'Mera' EP only a couple of weeks ago - sure looks like they're off to a good start to 2020!
