Review: Manchester-based deep house imprint 3am Recordings is set to celebrate 10 years in the game next year. Here, they rack up their 60th release with a atmospheric EP from Nick Devon. Lead cut "So Addicted" boasts a real late night flavour; all half-whispered spoken vocals (concerned, largely, with an addictive sexual relationship), delay-laden riffage and darkroom grooves. Label boss Al Bradley remixes, giving it a deeper, chunkier feel. "Nobody", meanwhile, throws some delicious old skool pianos and a smacked-out sample (a pitched-down take on a familiar house vocal) into the pot. The accompanying Pete Dafeet remix makes more of the druggy vocal, adding some of the Lost My Dog man's trademark touches for good measure.
