Review: Midwest techno legend DJ Hyperactive was throwing barn raves when most of us were but a twinkle in our parents' eyes. The dude has been responsible for pushing the Chicago sound to its extremes via the Missile label, and he's back with some new material for the 23rd outing of the 4 Track imprint. Although his productivity has been low as of late, he certainly hasn't forgotten how to make a banger, a skill clearly audible on both "303 1" and "The Walk". Along with those two bleepy piles of kicks and all-around gnarliness, the flip contains "Light Speed To Oblivion", a murky and eerie techno sketch with a metallic edge and an industrial frame of mind.
