Review: It's been a while since Andreas 'Audio' Werner put out new material, so The Chord Chronicles is a welcome return and a suitably soulful soundtrack for wintry nights. As usual, this three-tracker draws on US deep house influences and a distinctly European sounding minimal sound, effortlessly inhabiting a halfway place between these sounds. "Tension" is a hypnotic roller, led by hollowed out drums and featuring sensual chords. On "Chordlift", Werner embraces jazzy sounds to deliver the kind of freeform organic jam you might expect from a particularly mellow Theo Parrish. Best of all though is "Deepozzarella", where the seminal German producer drops the kind of breathless deep house track that calls to mind vintage Pepe Bradock. Stellar stuff.

Review: Red Pig Flower's journey as a producer continues with her latest EP, released via Swiss label Adam's Bite, that offers a perfect home for her distinctive, psychedelia-infused and stripped-back house sound. The title track, "We Need Space" weaves hypnotic spoken word vocals into a tapestry of winding bass grooves, skippy percussion, and modulating synths. The instrumental version provides a more robust, drum-driven vibe, while "Separation" on the flip-side offers a frenzied mix of synth flutters, dubbed-out percussion, and low-slung drums. "The Feeling" completes the EP with a deep, atmospheric journey featuring vocal chants, gritty stabs, and a bouncy groove. Space is the place.

Review: Martinesque's Think Outside The Box is an adventurous and eclectic album that explores various genres and influences. The album features 10 tracks that span from deep house to electro, from dub to breakbeat and ambient to acid. Opening track "Space Night" sets the tone with a hypnotic and groovy breakbeat underpinning a catchy vocal sample and an acid bassline. "The Broken Circle" is a mesmerising and atmospheric dub techno track, while "Think Outside The Box" is a straight-ahead minimal techno chugger made for those heads-down moments. The closing track "Beholder" utilises multi-layered and hypnotising polyrhythms to tremendous effect.

Review: Adam's Bite has tapped Christopher Ledger for its seventh release. The Italian DJ and producer is known for his impressive releases for the likes of Meander and Brouqade and the Anticipation EP continues in his inimitable style. From rolling and hypnotic tech house ("Interchange") and playful dubby minimalism ("Swap Function) to afterhours microhouse as heard on the title track and even a bit of electro ("Without Warning") - those familiar with his craft will find more to love with every play.

Review: Martinesque is the new alias of veteran Swiss producer Adrian Martin, who presents the latest release on Adam's Bite, the label he manages for Nicolas R. Hagenbach that has presented some terrific releases previously by Traumer, Barac and Ion Ludwig. Martin kicked off the series with the inaugural release and returns here for ADAM 004 titled Deep Valley, featuring the the hypnotic minimal groove of "Profound", followed by some complex and multi-layered tech house on "Watercourse" and ending with the heady, afterhours microhouse of "Black Bird".
