Review: UK producers Tom Green and Josh Ludlow, better known as Soma World, team up with Ghanaian vocalist Falle on this Afro-inspired outing for the fledgling Adventures In Paradise label. In its 4:40 Original and 8:20 Extended forms, 'Want This' pays faithful homage to West African musics like hi-life and Afrobeat, with Falle's Alpha Blondy-esque vocal lending it an authenticity that lifts it above much similar material that's currently around. The remixes from Ray Mang don't actually change a great deal beyond getting busy with the dubby FX, but his Instrumental is probably the pick for non-specialist floors.

Previously found on DFA and Claremont 56, this occasional project steps up with the heavy disco funk groove of "Show Me Love", which lays down a rich spread of instrumentation with Danielle Moore of Crazy P fame on vocal duties.
