Chauhattar - (8:06) 136 BPM Hot
Pachattar - (5:53) 138 BPM
Chihattar - (5:47) 136 BPM
Review: Following their collaboration on his 2022 album, Patanjali, Berlin-based techno producer Amotik teams up again with Tina Ramamurthy. "Chauhattar" resounds to robust tribal drums and a clanging bass, with mysterious vocal samples woven into the arrangement. On "Pachattar", the approach is deeper, with more understated kicks providing the basis for repetitive, tripped out loops. While the Amotik series is typically focused on dance floor techno, this fourteenth instalment also sees the duo explore a more esoteric sound with "Chihattar". Based on a gentle, undulating groove and dreamy, soft-focus textures, it also features stream of consciousness vocals throughout the effortless arrangement.

Kameliia - "Beyond" - (5:22) 140 BPM
Kameliia - "8-12" - (5:08) 140 BPM
Decoder - "Kalpavriksha" - (6:00) 140 BPM
Decoder - "Swayambhu" - (5:47) 135 BPM
Decoder - "Velinattu" - (4:40) 140 BPM Hot
Review: The latest EP on Amotik is a geographically dispersed release, drawing on the talents of Norway's Kameliia and Dallas-based producer Decoder. The distances between them are not the only difference; Kamelia's approach is rooted in a deep, hypnotic sound. This manifests on "Beyond" in the shape of ghostly synths tethered to steely percussion. On "8-12", this aesthetic is also prevalent and sees Kamelia conjure up eerie melodies over a rickety groove. Decoder's sound is more abrasive; "Kalpavriksha" resounds to tough hi hats and a visceral filter, while "Swayambhu" is a tough, tribal techno workout. Shifting gears again, "Velinattu" draws on minimal influences, as a looped organ riff unfolds over a driving rhythm.

Sattar - (6:16) 135 BPM Hot
Bahatar - (6:11) 137 BPM
Tihatar - (7:01) 139 BPM
Review: Proving that thirteen is not unlucky for everyone is Amotik, whose latest instalment in this long-running series is one of its highlights. It opens in dramatic fashion with "Sattar". Layering tonal bleeps over ghostly synths, these elements play out over a resolute, grainy rhythm. It calls to mind Sleeparchive at his most dance-floor focused. On "Bahatar", he maintains the dance floor momentum with dubbed out beats and rasping percussion. However, there is still space for musical sounds, with moody chords rippling through the arrangement. "Tihatar" continues in this esoteric vein; bathed in layered synths, it sees Amotik deliver his own interpretation of lush Detroit techno.

Decka - "Bridging The Gap" - (4:13) 140 BPM
Decka - "Sulphur" - (5:57) 138 BPM
Arthur Robert - "Husk" - (6:45) 143 BPM Hot
Arthur Robert - "Charisma" - (5:13) 143 BPM
Review: Amotik launched AMTK+ to provide a platform for other artists, and this second volume in the series sees the spin-off label deliver another fine split release. First up is Decka with "Bridging the Gap", a dense, textured dubby affair that still packs a potent punch thanks to its tough kicks. "Sulphur" is far more abrasive. It sees the UK artist draw on inspiration from the Lost Recordings back catalogue to deliver a dense, looped groove, supported by rasping, sheet metal percussion. Arthur Robert's "Husk" is a reduced affair. Led by sharp, steely hi hats and a splurging bass, it perfectly balances functionality with a distinctive approach. In contrast, Robert's "Charisma" is a pared back, minimal track that resounds to hypnotic tonal sequences.

Deluka - "Distance" - (5:20) 138 BPM
Deluka - "Time To Time" - (6:24) 140 BPM Hot
Amotik - "Judna01" - (6:02) 140 BPM
Amotik - "Judna02" - (7:00) 139 BPM
Review: Amotik launches a new series dedicated to split releases. For the first volume, he invites like mind Francesco De Luca to contribute under his Deluka guise. Given De Luca's musical background, it's no surprise that he delivers two club tracks steeped in Italian techno heritage. "Distance" sees Deluka drop a sleek, stripped back piece, led by metallic percussion and insistent tones. On "Time to Time", he ventures down a hypnotic wormhole, where a throbbing, pulsating groove prevails. Amotik's own contributions are just as compelling: "Judna01" resounds to atmospheric synths and a driving rhythm. Meanwhile, "Judna02" is more pared back, with Amotik dropping a relentless tribal workout.

Pandrah - (6:45) 135 BPM
Solah - (7:13) 134 BPM Hot
Review: The fifth release in the Amotik series again sees its unknown author keeping his/her head down and focusing on underground tracks. That said, Amotik 005 isn't entirely beholden to the rules of hand-stamped engagement. Unlike many anonymous series "Pandrah" has obvious big-room ambitions as its solid kicks push it along at 135bpm. The bigger surprise occurs on "Solah". While similar in tempo and just as functional as "Pandrah" thanks to its crashing percussion, at its heart are fragile, soaring synths. They exude a sense of euphoria that sounds out of place on an anonymous techno record, and which makes Amotik 005 reassuringly different.
