Review: Following a series of releases on the label, Troma & PERS1 deliver their debut album for Aquaregia. Grounded in the acid sound, Ancestral Posterity leans more towards the melodic side of the 303. It's audible in the atmospheric ambience of "Primitive Spirits". The same sensibility is at play when the album tilts towards the dance floor - on the throbbing groove of "First Rituals" and the immersive acid textures on "Jhaptaal Rhythm". Ancestral Posterity also shows the duo's ability to experiment with different approaches. "News from Nowhere" resounds to choppy break beats and eerie synths, while "Artificial Earth" goes down a tripped-out wormhole.
