Review: Two years on from the release of his L.A album - a set made partially in tribute to the City of Angels - Tensnake returns with L.A Noir, a fresh set of reworks of the very same tracks reportedly inspired by Los Angeles at night. There's plenty to set the pulse racing throughout, from the Bobby Orlando-esque, mid-80s cheeriness of his own rework of HEXE-featuring bubbler 'Call Me' and the Patrick Cowley/Sylvester-esque electronic disco pump of Street Player's tweak of 'Antibodies', to a deliciously TB-303 heavy Tiger & Woods re-make of 'Wait It Out', and a lusciously dreamy and atmospheric deep house-meets-tech-house re-wire of 'Rules' by Jozef K. Also highly impressive are the Latin-electro tweak of 'Make You Mine' by Ben Gomori and the '80s synth-funk revision of 'Rules' courtesy of Phil Gerus.
