Review: Pause delivers the latest EP on the established ARTS imprint with the innovative Coureur D'Etoiles. It's all about the bass on the title track, with a woozy low end underpinned by subtle minimal beats. "Blind Light" is of a similar disposition. Led by spaced out filters and rickety drums, it sees Pause deploy a murky low end again. "Orage Magnetique" veers towards the Mike Parker school of speaker-levelling tones and static interference, albeit at a slower pace. "Masked Form" sees percussion filtered over a squelchy bass. Meanwhile on "Infinite Road", Pause picks up the pace in an unusual manner, dropping subtle off beats and a reverberating low end.
