Twilight (part 1) - (2:07)
Twilight (part 2) - (6:45)
Daydream - (6:59)
Review: Polysick aka Paul Kersex comes through on Ghent-based audioMER with a gripping collection of experimental, electronic delights. His last LP for Planet Mu was nothing short of sublime and the follow up from this young producer delivers nothing less. Openers "Twilight" Part 1 and Part 2 are both excellent representations of the man's working ethic, the former being a broken, haphazard pool of percussion segments and noisy atmospherics whilst the latter heads down the acid house lane - a strange, contemporary vision of it, that is. 4/4 seems to be the main ingredient here but Polysick uses it to his advantage, creating a bizarre but wonderful floor-outsider on "Citylights" and a thumpier bump on "Daydream", but it's actually the spaces between the belters that enrich this work with such diversity, such as the psychedelic synth keys of "Haze" or on the beatless jewel that is "Blazer". Highly recommended.
