Review: It's been a hot minute since BBK made a collective appearance, so when we saw that Frisco had gathered the troops for a long awaited collaborative return, we couldn't be more excited. Produced by Trooh Hippi, we hear the grime veterans let loose with a barrage of mainstage lyricism and intricate grime flows over a selection of eastern flute action and pounding sub structures below. It's always good to hear Frisco lead the way as well, who for us is one of the UK's most undersung vocal talents. It's a fantastic new single to reintroduce themselves to the world in 2020.

Warsaw Street (Scuba remix) - (8:18) 120 BPM
Loose Life (Julien Bracht remix) - (5:54) 120 BPM
Remember (Thom Alt-J remix) - (3:31) 90 BPM
Review: There's been a fair amount of excitable online chatter about moody synthesizer fetishists Lea Porcelain, a duo from Frankfurt whose work sits somewhere between vintage minimal wave and clanking, modular electronica. Here, the pair has allowed a quartet of remixes to make merry with some of their most name-checked tunes. The headline attraction is arguably Scuba's alternately hypnotic, melodious and trippy broken techno take on "Warsaw Street", though Julien Bracht's doom-laden, lo-fi breakbeat interpretation of 2015 track "Loose Life" is arguably even stronger. Those looking for the ultimate in beat-less, wall-of-sound moodiness should check out Thom Alt J's inspired remix of "Remember".

Review: "12 Ways" might have been a more appropriate name for this collection. Over the course of this collection, Chistic veers wildly in sound. From the pulsing bass and dramatic strings of the opener "Magical Waterfall", through the churning bass of "Catch The Invisible Being", "Days" makes Chistic sound like a house music obsessive. The landscape changes radically soon afterwards however; "Heavenly Rider" is all crashing drums and tinkling, melodic keys, while the infectious synth line on "The Portrait Of A Feeling" recalls vintage Italo bass and "Who Dig Out Potatoes" sees Chistic fuse a plunging Chicago bass with the disorientating rush of jarring rave riffs. It's not for the faint hearted, but if you're in search of unpredictability, 12 Days is for you.

Review: It's debut time on AWAL as the riotous label call London noisemongers The Dirty Toyz to the stage. Rocking with a rocky vocal vibe that's somewhere between Planet Funk and The Freestylers, it's a compelling debut thanks to the addictive glitch sizzles on "Distortion" and the more sing-along riffage of "Supernova". Elsewhere we find anthemic electro dubstep on "Touch", evangelic electro on "A Dirty Call" and spine-tingle synth satisfaction on "Push". Play it. And play it "Loud".
