Review: Bass Culture Records welcomes ZKY with open arms, as the German producer delivers four deep house tracks on his New Standards EP. Opening with "Zycho", ZKY sets the tone with a dynamic groove infused with cosmic hues and trippy chord movements. "Floating Phonk" slows the pace with funky loops and organic percussion, while "Sonar Train" showcases ZKY's machines at work with infectious synth noodling. Closing with "Feeling", ZKY treats listeners to muted chords and soft acid bass, oh yeah - new standards!

Review: While it is being released towards the end of the year, there is something almost intuitively uplifting about Organa. Not in the cheesy sense though. On "Alea Iacta", Savoretti channels the esoteric house sound of Boo Williams and Jaime Read to deliver a subtle, spiritual groove, powered by gently rolling snares. "Motorcity Ghosts" sees him go farther down a Detroit route, as woozy synths are underpinned by a jerky rhythm and squelchy bass. The title track is like a meeting point between Chicago and Detroit, with Savoretti combining swirling textures and jazzy keys with staccato drums. Label boss D'Julz is also on hand to drop a house-focused take on the title track.
