Review: For us, Biscuit Factory is one of the real goliath's of the dubstep world, having formed in the genre's first golden age and maintained a serious presence on the circuit to this day. They unveil a top draw project here from Kelly Dean, which kicks off with the title track 'Reflection'. As a composition, this is everything you could want, sweeping, smoothened atmospherics, lethal sub layers and an awesome vocal addition from the incredible ALYS B. On the flip, the LFOs are out in marching force as 'Reality Check' provides a neurotic base camp for sharp, punchy drum creations and writhing reeses to boot.

Review: Wake up and smell the bake up, Walsh's Biscuit Factory have cooked a fresh batch from three relative newcomers and the results are highly scrumptious; Nottingham three-piece kick off with abyss plunged bass tones and more space that Professor Brian Cox's daydreams, Rufus!'s "Slug Crawl" lives up to its name perfectly with molten rhythmic elements and stacks of tightly coiled funk in the groove while Reaction closes the show on a mystic introspective tip. Grub's up!

Review: Belgium's Artroniks makes his debut on the bass stable Biscuit Factory, a label that has seen EP's by the likes of Benga and N Type, among others. There are four deep, mystical dubstep numbers on here, spear-headed by the below zero low-ends and eerie, distant melodies of "Dustup". "Haven" itself is a rolling steppers tune that wouldn't sound totally out of reality in a Jah Shaka sound session, but the true monster lies in "Fathom", another one of Artronik's masterful bass cuts for the mind and soul. Recommended in this week's bass downpour..!

Review: The prolific Matta returns and continues his nomadic label-hopping with a sweet three-tracker for the ever-impressive Biscuit Factory. Much like his previous outings, this is the kinda dubstep which squeals its way across the mix but yet still verges onto the deeper end of the spectrum. "Sound System" starts of all nice and cosy before turning into a Coki-reminiscent clusterbomb, while "In Shadows" is more than a beast thanks to its stuttering melodies. Lastly, "Cause & Effect" calls all bros and drops a total leviathan of a bassline on yer soundsystem. Proper old-school FWD vibes on this one!

Review: Erstwhile D&B'ers Genetix have nailed the dubstep sound recently. Applying their strong-arm sonic knowhow from their previous trade, it's given their cuts a distinctive edge. "Going In" is the bolshier one of the trio, with its swaggering half steps, well-placed MC vocal snippet and bear-like bass."Mindrise" is a much deeper, rolling percussive cut spiked with chilling pads and paranoid tick-tock shakers shuffling deep in the darkest corners, while "24/7 Re-flex" goes in hard with its savage subs. All three are bolstered with the bulletproof beef their D&B was known for too.

Review: Ridiculously heavy vibes going on here as emerging Biscuit Factory barons Laxx and Farkas collide for the first time. The title track is hardly dubstep at all, instead it combines a more pounding four-four flavour of old tribal house and techno but with whispers of half step on the ones and threes. If you're looking for a set switcher, this is a fine candidate. "High Roller", meanwhile, is dubstep with a serious swagger. A joint venture with Soap Dodgers, its wobblesome halfstep grunts the message across while a really cute, retro top melody caters for the more tingly side of the dance. Very interesting release.

Review: For their fifth release the Biscuit Factory crew hand over the reins to dynamic duo Kutz & Walsh. Opener "Wanted" is an all-out dubstep monster with relentless morphing bass frequencies and slamming drums. "G742" sees them flip the script with bouncy 4/4 beats and distorted synths taking us into twisted up futuristic UK funky territory. Finally, EP closer "The Warning" lays on some serious dubwise pressure with heavyweight sledgehammer drums.
