Pretty Hands (Sicaa remix) - (4:37) 95 BPM
Review: The team behind Black Marble Collective always seem to have a treat or two hidden up their sleeves. This latest collection from Zeez is a fabulous look into that creativity as we open up with the lofi drum shuffles and addictive high-pitched vocal samples of 'Pretty Hands'. Next, the title track 'Equinox' slides into view with a gorgeous array of organic-sounding drum shuffles and crunchy rhythmic arrangements, topped with eerie bass drives and a seriously progressive instrumental design. We then dive head first into two remixes, firstly hearing Sicaa deliver a colourful trip hop rethink, followed by a spritely garage-inspired twist up from NPHONIX. This is another wicked showing from the Black Marble crew.

Review: The team at Black Marble Collective have maintained an incredibly consistent high standard throughout the course of 2019, with this latest compilation providing the cherry for the metaphorical cake they really do deserve. They assemble a goliath 16 track collection including original heat from the likes of DJ Ends, Jah Bliddie, Andrew DIFF, Dev79 and more. For us there are a couple of stand out favourites, including 6Blocc's incredibly emotive rethink 'For Life', originally featuring A.Fruit. We also love the rave-ready basslines of Dom Corleone's 'Yo Body' VIP mix and the junglist slices of 'Underground' from Alexandre.

Can't Fit In A Box EP
Dev79 & Sideswipe - "Emerald Tree Boa" - (4:24) 97 BPM
Review: Now, this latest project from Dev79 goes by the name of 'Can't Fit In A Box', and we really feel that despite it being exactly what is says on the tin, Black Marble Collective have swapped boxes with Pandora as carnage in unleashed. This one kicks of with 'You & I Is Us', which features additional vocal work from MC Elixir, layering his potent vocals over a jukey, breaks hybrid, destined to damage dances. This is then followed strongly by the energetic vocal stabs of '215 Alive' and the hardcore nostalgia contained within the arrangement of 'Emerald Tree Boa'. finally, 'Where Kings Are Bred' strips everything back to cool bass sounds and breakbeats, rounding every up with a dash of finesse.
