Review: A two-tracker here that couldn't really be more "Europe, 1984" if it was wearing a lime green mesh t-shirt and a Sony Walkman, playing Astro Wars and worrying about the imminent nuclear apocalypse! The sweeping, cinematic 'Night Drive' owes a debt of inspiration to the likes of Giorgio Moroder and Daniele Baldelli, and could work in wider-ranging prog sets as well as on specialist disco floors. 'Back In 80s' wears its influences even more blatantly on its sleeve and has a foreboding kinda feel - maybe they'd just watched 'Threads' and 'The Day After' back to back!

Review: Inspiring a golden nu-age of music through the '80s-esque synths and slamming drums of SONiC RANGE's Level Up EP - the five tracks appearing here inspire all matter of trance styles, pop and synthwave music. Burning with an electro bassline Detroit style in "Level UP" there's Double Dragon & Vigilante video game motifs to be found in "Intro" next to the walls of cherry synths in "You Are So" and SONiC RANGE's own interpretation of a convertible land cruiser in "Midnight Drive". Super sonic cosmic bliss!
