Tomorrow / Detonations
Tomorrow - (5:42) 140 BPM
Detonations - (4:36) 140 BPM Hot
Review: Emalkay and Caspa team up to produce a third release for Bring It Down, one year to the day the label was inaugurated with Emalkay's For the People EP. Following a remix package of that aforementioned three-track, this time the UK producer looks to something more melodic than the heavy dubstep workings of last time. "Tomorrow" sounds like the credit music of a '90s manga film before building into a cyclic storm of throbbing bass and relentless snares. "Detonations" harbours one of this year's biggest tear out basslines. You've been warned.

Review: Is there such a genre as 'haunted bass'? If there wasn't, there certainly is now. "Tell Me" is mesmerising electronic pop as we've yet to know it - all fuzzy bass, swirling ghostly howling sounds and sorrowful vocals. "Aerosol" is more about the booty than the head, but is no less inventive with it. "For The People" ends things with a post-dubstep crowd pleaser that's sprinkled with elements of bass and trap and is guaranteed to set things off in style. Emalkay has proved himself to be a totally fresh new talent.
