Savana
Savana - (7:27) 120 BPM Hot
Savana (Locked Groove remix) - (6:13) 126 BPM
Review: Like many other party organisers before it, Bruxsel Jardin has moved into the label sphere. It's a natural progression for the Belgian operation, and as this third release on the imprint shows, there is no shortage of local talent for it to draw on. "Savana" is uninhibited by genres and hype; its groove rolls hypnotically and the chords tingle with techno warmth, even though the bass has a throbbing electro feeling. The label has commissioned a remix from Hotflush artist Locked Groove, which uses the original version's chords in a stepping techno arrangement, but somehow it lacks DKA & Jon Mosto's refreshingly wide-eyed approach.

Anneessens EP
Anneessens - (9:57) 120 BPM
Lost Track Of Time - (7:26) 122 BPM
Fireworks - (9:30) 121 BPM Hot
Review: Belgium's DKA house duo come through as correct as always with their latest three-tracker, this time for Bruxsel Jardin - a label just getting off the ground in 2015. The title track "Anneessens" is a spacey wormhole of a deep house groover, filled with plenty of sci-fi electronics and one monumental bassline, while "Lost Track Of Time" is even deeper and even more entrenched into hyper-space thanks to its subdued melodies and broken beat structure. Lastly, "Fireworks" lifts the mood with a comparatively more cheerful set of sonics and launches the shuttle into the ether.

Last Night EP
Last Night - (8:47) 122 BPM Hot
Unumet - (8:55) 120 BPM
Review: Having earned a fearsome reputation for throwing riotous parties in their home city, Brussells' Bruxsel Jardin crew has decided to launch their own record label. The first release is a collaborative affair, with Coeur joining resident DJ Nathan Oye to deliver two doses of Innervisions style deep, tech-tinged, atmospheric house. "Last Night" is woozy and melancholic, with twinkling, glassy-eyed pianos and skippy percussion being offset by ominous chords and clanking electronics. There's a looser feel about "Unumet", with icy - but strangely beautiful - electronic melodies stretching out over a shuffling tech-house groove. As debut releases go, the Last Night EP is rather impressive.
