Review: Carouse welcomes Wolters to the fold. Straddling the worlds of techno, trance and hardcore, this hard-edged four tracker offers up a range of approaches. "Raffica" is a tough, looped groove peppered with vocal samples and heavy drums. Vocals also make an appearance on "Bring Me Up", but this time they are of the sped up, hardcore variant. Unfolding over rolling snares, a pulsating bass and epic stabs, it makes for a euphoric but still impactful track. "Crossfire" follows in a similar vein; led by a tribal rhythm and layered break beats, this backdrop provides the platform for quick fire vocal snippets. The label has also commissioned a remix of "Raffica", with the Faster Horses version moving into a dreamier - but still dance floor-focused - direction.
