Just Think About That Feeling - (4:53) 125 BPM
Review: Boblebad - that'll be Norwegian for 'hot tub' or 'jacuzzi', then - goes by the name of Ulf Moen Denneche in real life and hails, unsurprisingly, from Oslo. Here he comes to Citizens Of Vice with three tracks of (mostly) heavily electronic nu disco, with the title track a jaunty, lolloping affair sporting some Daft Punk-esque guitar flourishes, 'Just Think About That Feeling' a slightly deeper, spacier number built for late-hours play, and 'At The Beach' the quirkiest and least synth-tastic cut of the three with its sampled seaside sounds, insistent hand percussion, Spanish guitars and kiddy vox.

Evergreen
Space + Time - (8:00) 125 BPM Hot
Review: Citizens of Vice are usually very good at sharing info about their artists and releases, but thus far they've kept quiet about this one - a label debut from a previously unheard artist called Daggers. Title track 'Evergreen' naturally sets the tone, with the mystery outfit layering sparkling synth sounds, echoing lead lines, delay-laden hand percussion and drifting bleeps around a deep, dubby bassline and psychedelic nu-disco beats. Elsewhere, 'Space + Time' is a breathlessly brilliant, low-slung dark disco number rich in mind-manging motifs and heavy bass, while 'Nigel's Vitamins' is a TB-303 laden slab of neo-dub disco with added hallucinatory colour.

Crooked Man - "Illyrian Song" - (7:39) 127 BPM
Review: French label Citizens Of Vice, self-described purveyors of "Balearic, disco and house for those of a sleazy inclination", bring us a V/A EP whose six tracks defy easy categorisation. For house lovers, though, the best places to start would be Crooked Man's atmospheric 'Illyrian Song' and Lanowa's disco-infused 'Every Move I Make', while elsewhere, 'Sons Of Dub' is one for wonked-out 5am floors, Offshore & Coen explore nu-disco's leftfield fringes, 'Love Of My Life' from Staccatoman brings the 80s/Italo vibes while Mass Density Human's 'Henry's Theme' starts out in drifty Balearic territory then slowly builds into a thunderous percussion workout.

Take Me Dancing - (5:35) 126 BPM
Review: Given the title you can probably guess what instrument takes centre stage on this latest EP from UK disco regular Andy Buchan, which is brought to you by the goodly folks at Citizens Of Vice. 'Piano Hands' itself is, unsurprisingly, a piano-led instrumental that sits right on the house/disco cusp and also sports some fine strings, while Glenn Davies' remix is a treat for house floors that like it deep and soulful. Elswhere there's plenty more ivories action to be found on the boogie-esque 'Ghosts Of Yanquin', before the piano-free 'Take Me Dancing' plays us out on a blissy, euphoric kinda tip.

Arrivals Part 2
CuCuCu - (6:13) 129 BPM
Review: Just two months after delivering their debut EP for Citizens of Vice - the rather good "Arrivals Part 1" - Bent member Simon Mills and International Feel artist Joel Hood reprise their Somethin' Santified partnership. "Arrivals Part 2" is a rock solid sequel. The pair begins with "Soul Glo", a wonderfully woozy and opaque number where glistening melodies and sechoing vocal samples bob and weave around a chunky, proto-house style groove, before wrapping themselves in cotton wool on the loved-up Balearic dancefloor bliss of "CuCuCu". "Marzipan" is a sticky, humid and melodious chunk of sunrise-ready deep house breeziness, while closing cut "White Blossoms" is a reverb-laden jazz-house shuffler rich in fluttering flute lines and drifting Brazilian vocal samples.
