Review: Pascal Arbez aka Vitalic returns to his Clivage Music imprint with a collection of dancefloor bangers. While the infectious vocals and melodies on "Haute Dimension" and the moody "Danse Avec Moi" show that Vitalic has embraced pop music, these mainstream-facing contributions sit alongside wild acid burners like "Rave Against the System" and the grating, visceral industrial of "Boomer OK". While the dance floor remains Vitalic's focus, Dissidaence also shows that he's capable of a more nuanced approach: led by spaced out synths and a warm, pulsating bass on "Cosmic Renegade", Vitalic takes his cues from classic Italo to map out a brave new approach.
