Review: The new one on Constant Circles is a various artists compilation featuring a bunch of rising stars. Berlin based Kaldera has an eclectic production style ranging from deep electronica to disco infused house. He makes his debut on the label with the smooth deep house number "For You". Next up, Tom Frankel has honed his skills at venues like Egg & Fire, while at the same time building a solid reputation for his eclectic productions. He appears with the moody tech house of "Atlantis". With a sound he describes as 'music and architecture - creating sound spaces with atmosphere and function', Onur Ozman's productions have already graced labels like Noir, Rebirth and Definition Music. He makes a welcome debut also, with the brooding techno of "Raw Soul".
Review: Some serious main room techno that you could imagine Richie Hawtin or Nic Fanciulli smashing out at peak time on offer here from new UK label Constant Circles. "Hold You" has all the shuffle, throb and white noise of a Saved or Viva Music track and is bound to destroy a dancefloor near you. "Le Son" changes style completely, going for the Ostgut Ton style of bleak greyscale techno in impressive fashion. Finally "Once" shows another side to this artist's musical persona on this driving minimal house jam.
Review: Just Her prvides the inaugural release for Constant Circles, a one-track show backed by three effective remixers from around the globe. "Silence" is any remixer's dream thanks to its space, floaty vocals and docile groove glossed in a minimalistic coating. Dubai's Raxon transforms the track into a pseudo electro house number complete with a fluttering bassline, while Pete Oak heads back to the forest with his driving yet tame deep house reinterpretation, and Martin Vidal dishes out the progressive house on the tail-end.
