Kristian Heikkila - "Block" (Alex Bau Repaint) - (6:10) 130 BPM
Max Jahn - "Reactivate" (Alex Bau edit) - (8:28) 125 BPM
Review: Some pretty ferocious techno on offer here from Munich based Credo on Recycled Tracks once again. We're up to part five now! Clement Landrau's "Uncontrol" gets a pretty effective re-edit by Credo head honcho Alex Bau. Kristian Heikilla serves up "Block" which also gets a remix by Bau: the kind of stomping dark side futurism you'd expect to hear at Berghain or Culture Box. Finally Max Jahn gives us "Reactivate" a melodic electro-disco jam you'd expect to hear from Kirk di Giorgio or The Hacker back in the day which also had Bau's midas touch lent to it.
Pulseman vs Sineman (Emmanuel Top deconstruction) - (8:07) 134 BPM
Pulseman vs Sineman (Alex Bau repaint) - (7:16) 132 BPM
Review: Recycled Tracks is the result of the meeting of two experienced techno minds. On one side of the world there's label boss Alex Bau, whose label has previously hosted underground artists like Pascal FEOS and Electric Rescue, while at the opposite side, there's Ninjahead. The studio alias for veteran Japanese producer Takkyu Ishino, this release sees him cede control to talented remixers. Emmanuel Top is given free reign to rework "Pulseman vs. Sineman", and turns it into a thing of pulsating, acid-heavy madness. Bau himself also deconstructs the same track; using firing percussion and a powerful filter, he turns the original into a moody but effective peak-time techno workout.
