Review: Gino & Harry Shotta just dropped a fresh EP called "It's Mad / Punished" on Crucast. Kicking things off with "It's Mad," this track hits you with an instant surge of energy right out the gate. The thumping basslines and infectious groove just grab hold of you and don't let go until the ride is over. Moving to "Punished," and we're in a darker, grimier zone. The eerie melodies and nasty basslines create this tense, suspenseful vibe that keeps you on your toes. But as the track builds and builds, it just explodes into this intense barrage of hard-hitting bass and beats that leaves you feeling it deep down.

Review: As ever, it is a truly exciting time to be a CruCast fan, with this latest christmas compilation seeing some of the biggest names in the business join forces for a ferocious throwdown. The tracklisting itself is made up of non-stop bass stardom, with the likes of heavyweights such as Skepsis, Kanine, Darkzy, Window Kid, Turno, Disrupta, Original Sin and Sub Zero being just a handful that immediately jump out. The project features a range of heaters from across 2023, including the hard hitting sounds of Zero's 'Acting Like ILY', the sizzling synthesiser swipes of Amplify & Nu Elementz's 'See Me' and of course the unforgettable euphoria of AC13 and Grace Barton's 'Mesmerised'. A damn fine way to close off another successful CruCast year.

Review: The unstoppable Amplify continues to get his mates involved with a brand new Amplify & Friends EP. The last one was on Low Down Deep, now time for a new tag-team tear-up on the world dominating Crucast. First up, 'See Me' with Nu Elementz sets the scene with its nagging sandpaper funk bass riff before good friend and Gradient co-runner Metal Work joins for the super brutal rough-house jam 'Gradient'. Elsewhere Master Error and Nu Elements get stuck in on the more dramatic grot-fast 'Gone' before we hit an emotional rave finale 'Knuckles' with Master Error. Get friendly!

Review: Slappers, slippers, bloopers, blippers... Call them what you want, but Gino doesn't half make some absolute stinkers. This return to Crucast is the perfect example; three Hazard-esque rattlers that bruise hard and dynamically. 'Big Mistake' and 'Blippers' both roll out with a certain sense of funk. Imagine T>I having a really angry day and that's where we're at. Missing the classic tear-up Gino who pummelled you hard with oddball metallic textures? Look no further than 'For Nothing'. Bam, right in the kisser!

And don't just stop at the hypey, Tanz-fronted title track either. Elsewhere Fernquest fronts a Sub Focus-level anthem on 'What's Up' while Christina Harrison and PDX join B.O.M for a lighter-thrusting sing-along peaktime blast off and 'My Love' gets us all so hot under the collar that we don't need to think about heating costs for quite some time.
