Review: 2024 has been a busy year for Tensal - and Dethroned is his fifth release so far. Fans of the Spanish producer will find much to love here. "Ufological" is based on a rolling, stepping groove, which acts as the backdrop for Tensal to unleash wave upon wave of white noise and a niggling electronic riff. The title track sees him opt for a different approach. Led by hammering kicks and a piledriving rhythm, it also features analogue riffs that build and build in an intense fashion. In contrast, "Sacre" is more understated. Like "Ufological", it's based on a rolling groove. Augmented by a menacing bass, it makes for a brilliantly moody finale.
