The Paradigm Shift Vol 1
Bloody Mary - "Snatch" - (4:27) 64 BPM
Millimetric - "Body Alert" - (4:12) 63 BPM
Meshes - "Roleplay" - (3:42) 127 BPM Hot
Delectro - "Panic Rage" - (6:49) 67 BPM
Review: For its latest EP, Dame-Music serves up four club-focused electro-techno tracks. Label owner Bloody Mary is up first with "Snatch": centred on a Front 242-style bass and featuring gurling acid lines, it makes for a distinctive yet effective affair. French electro veteran Millimetric goes down a more intense route on "Body Alert", where siren synths are combined with a pummelling industrial rhythm, while on "Roleplay", Meshes drops the kind of grinding, ebm-influenced track that you might expect to hear from Terrence Fixmer. Last but by no means least is Delectro, who provides the high-octane, shrieking intensity of "Panic Rage" as a finale.

The Melting Pot Ep Vol 2
Hardfloor - "Thisishowwedo" - (6:48) 126 BPM Hot
Josh Wink - "Dame Deep" - (6:29) 117 BPM
Alien Rain - "Contact" - (5:23) 129 BPM
Bloody Mary - "Mono" - (5:30) 128 BPM
Review: French dame Bloody Mary is back with another simmering brew of TB-303 antics on The Melting Pot Ep Vol 2, featuring some legends and veterans alike. Witness the return of German acid kings Hardfloor, who serve up some euphoric tunnel vision on the terrific "Thisishowwedo", Ovum head honcho Josh Wink delivers a fitting tribute on the deeply evocative "Dame Deep" calling to mind the early '90s glory days of Peacefrog or Ferox. Do Not Resist The Beat's Milton Bradley dons the Alian Rain alias once again on the adrenalised rush of "Contact" while last but not least: Bloody Mary chips in for something a bit more uplifting and groove oriented with "Mono". All killer and no filler on this one.

The Melting Pot
KiNK - "Throwing Elbows" - (6:12) 123 BPM Hot
Bloody Mary - "Chemical Jam" - (5:58) 128 BPM
Thomas P. Heckmann - "Dames On Acid" - (6:21) 127 BPM
Played by: Alkalino
Review: Bloody Mary's label brings 2017 to a raucous end with this split release. On "Throwing Elbows", it sounds like KiNK is channeling the spirit and sound of Hardfloor as he lays down a furious acid line. The only difference is that his beats are clipped and hollowed out, unlike the frenetic pace that the German duo are fond of. There are no such niceties on Mary's own "Chemical Jam". Distorted kicks, wild 303s and trashing snares prevail as the Berlin-based producer throws down an intense jam. By comparison, techno veteran Thomas P Heckmann's contribution sounds relatively civilised, but its searing acid, Chicago drums and rolling snares are still sure to have the desired effect.

7 Year Anniversary
The Analogue Cops - "Shonen Jump" - (5:53) 136 BPM
Milton Bradley & Bloody Mary - "Tales From Space" - (7:33) 131 BPM Hot
Boo Williams - "Animation" - (6:30) 125 BPM
Review: This is the 35th release on Bloody Mary's label and also marks its seventh year in operation. To mark the occasion, the label and its owner have welcomed the Analogue Cops and Milton Bradley into the fold. The former delivers a pacey, acid-filled track, "Shonen Jump", which resounds to insistent percussive whirrs and dreamy synth lines. It's unlike their usual hardware jams and offers a different side to their sound. Next up is Bradley, who collaborates with the label owner on "Tales From Space" for a tough, 303-led workout. Boo Williams' contribution, "Animation" sees the Chicago veteran deliver a disco-led workout that has echoes of Italo in its throbbing, pulsating groove.
