Chib Merchant - (4:54) 128 BPM
Menace 2 Sobriety - (5:23) 128 BPM
Nuclear Blueprint - (5:10) 132 BPM
Review: Fear-E returns to Dame-Music with his second solo EP of the year, marking the label's 49th release available on both vinyl and digital formats. Following the success of his first EP released in March, the Glasgow-based producer unleashes a sonic assault with four intense acid cuts. Showcases Fear-E's mastery in crafting pulsating rhythms and heavy acid basslines - from the infectious energy of "Acidisko" to the hypnotic allure of "Chib Merchant" - Fear-E maintains a relentless pace here. "Menace 2 Sobriety" lives up to its name with a fierce, intoxicating vibe, while "Nuclear Blueprint" rounds off the EP with a powerful blend of dynamic drums and acid-infused intensity. Mastered by the legendary Thomas P. Heckmann to boot!

Lysergic Patterns From The Silver Box
Marching Pooder - (4:49) 138 BPM Hot
Breakfast Of Champions - (4:46) 131 BPM
Hornet's Nest - (5:12) 133 BPM
Set U3 - (4:56) 130 BPM
Review: Some sounds never grow old. As Fear-E demonstrates on Lysergic Patterns, the 303 is one of those eternal tropes. Kicking off the release with a peak-time track, "Marching Pooder" integrates squelching acid lines with stomping kicks and cheese wire percussion. Fear-E follows this intro with an equally impactful take on the 303, with "Breakfast Of Champions" fusing a relentless line with eerie, soaring synths. "Hornet's Nest" sees Fear-E push into a classic hard techno direction; with tough kicks and firing percussion as its basis, acid tones are interwoven with churning chords. "Hornet's Nest" marks another change in direction, with Fear-E deploying squelchy tones over a jacking Chicago track.

The Paradigm Shift Vol 1
Bloody Mary - "Snatch" - (4:27) 64 BPM
Millimetric - "Body Alert" - (4:12) 63 BPM
Meshes - "Roleplay" - (3:42) 127 BPM Hot
Delectro - "Panic Rage" - (6:49) 67 BPM
Review: For its latest EP, Dame-Music serves up four club-focused electro-techno tracks. Label owner Bloody Mary is up first with "Snatch": centred on a Front 242-style bass and featuring gurling acid lines, it makes for a distinctive yet effective affair. French electro veteran Millimetric goes down a more intense route on "Body Alert", where siren synths are combined with a pummelling industrial rhythm, while on "Roleplay", Meshes drops the kind of grinding, ebm-influenced track that you might expect to hear from Terrence Fixmer. Last but by no means least is Delectro, who provides the high-octane, shrieking intensity of "Panic Rage" as a finale.

Thomas P. Heckmann - "Fluffy Fingers" - (6:35) 136 BPM
Tin Man - "Acid Ring" - (5:34) 135 BPM
Tim Taylor - "Fear Of Acid" - (4:13) 143 BPM
Bloody Mary - "Reclaim" - (5:41) 135 BPM
Lady Starlight - "C One Three" - (6:25) 148 BPM
Cardopusher - "Metal Rain" - (5:27) 136 BPM Hot
Defekt - "Sini Star" - (4:01) 132 BPM
Schacke - "Lowest Of Highs" - (6:59) 138 BPM
Review: Bloody Mary celebrates the tenth anniversary of her Dame Music imprint with this 303-focused compilation. Veteran techno producer Thomas Heckmann drops the tough, peak time "Fluffy Fingers" and Tim Taylor's "Fear of Acid" is a visceral analogue banger. Meanwhile, on "Acid Ring", Tin Man delivers a harder than usual version of his 303-driven style while on "Metal Rain", Cardopusher takes inspiration from ebm to craft a bleak track that wouldn't sound out of place on a Hacker EP. The compilation also shines a light on Bloody Mary's own production skills, and her contribution, "Reclaim", is an expansive acid groover that has echoes of classic Underground Resistance.

The Melting Pot Ep Vol 2
Hardfloor - "Thisishowwedo" - (6:48) 126 BPM Hot
Josh Wink - "Dame Deep" - (6:29) 117 BPM
Alien Rain - "Contact" - (5:23) 129 BPM
Bloody Mary - "Mono" - (5:30) 128 BPM
Review: French dame Bloody Mary is back with another simmering brew of TB-303 antics on The Melting Pot Ep Vol 2, featuring some legends and veterans alike. Witness the return of German acid kings Hardfloor, who serve up some euphoric tunnel vision on the terrific "Thisishowwedo", Ovum head honcho Josh Wink delivers a fitting tribute on the deeply evocative "Dame Deep" calling to mind the early '90s glory days of Peacefrog or Ferox. Do Not Resist The Beat's Milton Bradley dons the Alian Rain alias once again on the adrenalised rush of "Contact" while last but not least: Bloody Mary chips in for something a bit more uplifting and groove oriented with "Mono". All killer and no filler on this one.

The Melting Pot
KiNK - "Throwing Elbows" - (6:12) 123 BPM Hot
Bloody Mary - "Chemical Jam" - (5:58) 128 BPM
Thomas P. Heckmann - "Dames On Acid" - (6:21) 127 BPM
Played by: Alkalino
Review: Bloody Mary's label brings 2017 to a raucous end with this split release. On "Throwing Elbows", it sounds like KiNK is channeling the spirit and sound of Hardfloor as he lays down a furious acid line. The only difference is that his beats are clipped and hollowed out, unlike the frenetic pace that the German duo are fond of. There are no such niceties on Mary's own "Chemical Jam". Distorted kicks, wild 303s and trashing snares prevail as the Berlin-based producer throws down an intense jam. By comparison, techno veteran Thomas P Heckmann's contribution sounds relatively civilised, but its searing acid, Chicago drums and rolling snares are still sure to have the desired effect.
